September 21, 20196 yr Shit, just got an explanation of benefits from Blue Shield and they wanted my share to be $650.00 for that chest xray! Why the hell am I even paying for Health Insurance if they don't cover shit?! Luckily I called them and told them that was insane, that I used a network provider and had I known I would NOT have done the damn thing. AND they decided to cover it 100%! How does that work?! If you don't complain they assume it's ok to charge those prices?! I'm already paying $453.00 a ******* month for insurance so like I told her, why even have insurance?!

Since we are coming upon Medicare age, I have been getting prepared. I did not realize that you have to pay $200.00 (per person) a month for it and it only covers 80%. The supplemental is going to cost us another 200.00 a month and we are still going to have a $3.000.00 deductible. Geez!

Medicare is through the government. It is from Social Security. You know, that thing we paid into all our life and they want to take it away because they feel it is an entitlement.

Don't get me started on Social Security, I tried to file a claim for disability because of my fingers and was denied because I haven't "shown" an income in ten years. Apparently doing the office work doesn't count in their eyes since I wasn't paid a check each week. But we have paid self employment taxes the whole time which covers sis and disability. I could get a lawyer and fight it but it's not worth the trouble 😠

If it makes you feel any better, my insurance is about 2.5 x more per month than that, plus $1500 deductible. Still, $650 for an xray sounds like highway robbery.
