February 7, 20179 yr A year ago, I decided to stop drinking any and all alcohol for a healthier mind, body and soul. The past year served up some interesting challenges, but it has been great to face those challenges with a clear head and a healthier body. It's gone by fast, but I'm super happy about my decision. YAY ME!
February 8, 20179 yr GREAT JOB!!! I am right there with you. This April will be 2 years since I had any alcohol. I quit because I was tired of drinking too much and getting in trouble. And that is how I realized the healthier mind, body and spirit thing. It is amazing isn't it? I don't know about you but I do struggle some times in social situations where everyone is drinking. Most of the time I don't want to be there and want to go home. But I don't want to be a hermit either. Anyhows... great job on your awesome strength. Keep on keepin on.

Yeah, it's kind of awkward sometimes cuz your old party friends look at you like they're all mad cuz you aren't drinking with them. :) It's an adjustment, but I like to socialize too, so I'm dealing with it and keeping my eyes open for the non-drinkers. Congrats to you, too!!! Other than a few moments here and there of thinking, "A glass of wine sounds good," I really don't miss it at all. Especially since it was almost never just a glass of wine...... :)
February 8, 20179 yr When drinking Alcohol makes people more interesting. most of the time,....think some here would be boring on anything except laughing gas When I drink it also makes them better looking and smarter till the next day. Usually they go back to window licker status. As for problematic drinkers....Clint Eastwood said it best as Dirty Harry. "A man got to know his limitations " Dogs and skunks should probably not drink
