My head and ears are in so much pain, I think they are going to explode.  If it didn't hurt so much, I would scream.  It's built up fluid.  It started at 3 am this morning, woke me up out of a dead sleep.  Due to another medication I'm on, I cannot take any Ibuprofen for the time being.  I can't remember the last time I was sick like this.  I just needed to whine.  I just came across some 2 painkillers leftover from a dental procedure, thank goodness :)

Oh, I hope you are better!!!  (((Colleen)))

I used to walk and kick a stone and punch the air, I must have looked stupid but i felt better :)

Oh ye I loved kicking stones and would lose it or else cry, depended on the time of the month if someone looked at me wrong,

Punch bags are great, you are were you are meant to be at the 2 month mark, a nutty lunatic, so you are exactly the same as us lol

Wait til you see, in a few weeks you'll start liking people again ;)

Ok I have to laugh... there is a #factsnotfear campaign on twitter going on because of the Ebola sh*t that is going on.

One tweet says "Ebola doesn't spread through the air like the common cold" and then a few tweets later you see something to the effect of... "If someone infected coughs or sneezes and their fluids get in your eyes, nose, or mouth you can become infected" <---- last time I checked that is one of the main ways the common cold is spread...

Instead of trying to calm us down be freaking honest with us, a great majority of us aren't idiots, if you don't want overreaction tell us the truth.

Honestly, people would be less panicked if they understood the facts about Ebola.

I don't understand why there is no border ban in place. No one in from infected areas; no one out to infected areas. For the most part, that would contain the virus. We just had a scare here. My biggest fear is, I take the bus every day. What if one of the other riders has it? I ride the bus that goes to and from the airport a lot. I'm surrounded by people almost every day. I can't just hide away in my apartment.

It's stupid.

This. This. Freakin' this... we are the ones who should be in charge because this shit right here is common sense.

This is why the politicians make so much money..because they do such a fantastic job at protecting their citizens.. (insert sarcasm here)

There was a time that we would quarantine those arriving until they were certified healthy. Why did we stop?

I am watching the House Panel with the CDC on the outbreak... I am screaming at the TV like it is a football game. The stupidity of such "smart" [oozing sarcasm] people is astounding.

And our fine leaders concentrate their health concerns on what choices restaurants can make available to us. *more sarcasm if you please*

Seriously...

That won't be a concern if we're all dead from Ebola.

Idiots.

I agree that travel to/from Ebola areas should be restricted and travelers with fever should be quarantined. With a 50%-70% fatality rate and no cure, Ebola is unlike any other disease we have to deal with now.

On the other hand, despite all the media-fanned hysteria, Ebola is NOT currently a major health risk in the US. Influenza, on the other hand, kills 10,000 people a year in the US. Have you all had your flu shots this year? I remember seeing a photo several years ago about people picketing a factory for polluting the air and half the protesters were smoking while they were marching.

I really don't want to hear anyone complain about Ebola unless and until they quit smoking and get their flu shots. You're either concerned about your health and take reasonable steps to protect yourself or you don't. Don't let the media stampede you into getting all upset about the "disease of the week" while you neglect the less sexy but more real dangers we actually do confront every year.

As someone who worked in the healthcare field and someone who is immunocompromised yes I do get my flu shot every year as does my family.

I am not extremely worried about contracting Ebola... what does scare me... is the lies and misinformation. Also playing it down as a "no biggie" scenario as we have no travel restrictions. Like you said 50-70% fatality rate with no cure.

I get my flu shot every year (a bit late this year due to illness, but am soon)  and had my Pneumonia shot a couple years ago...they last 10 years, supposedly.  You know what really gets me...people I see in the ladies room.  They use the toilet, come out and rinse their hands and dry them.  Uh excuse me, but are you allergic to soap or something?  Why bother even with the water...what do you expect it to do?  I am in no way a neurotic germo-phobe, but basic hand washing practices people...

Misery misery. ever have a period of time in your life where you would just like to walk away from most of it?

Yes, such a thing has crossed my mind.  What's going on with the lovely Melanie?
