Leanna she is a complete and utter assface it doesnt matter how long or how short you have your mom around for a person can grieve the same my real mom died when I was 2 years old and my step mom died in 2002 I am equally sad about both because I am sad because I never knew my real mom and my stepmom for the obvious reasons. Noone has any right to tell another how they should grieve and for how long. She is a worthless piece of shit IMO.. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Agreed Frez! (((((Hugs)))))

For a 19-year-old who saw his mom dead on the bedroom floor (they took her off the bed to try to do CPR, but she was long gone by that point), he is doing incredibly well. Better than expected actually. He's a strong kid. But I know how much he misses her and for my brother's GF to tell him he has no right to grieve or be upset really hurt him. I honestly wish I was there to read these comments she made... I would have kicked her ass for sure.

I had 27 years with mom. That doesn't mean I miss her less. My older brother wasn't even around much for the last 8 years. My mom would cry to me about how he never visited her. I think him and his girlfriend are using his guilt as leverage and trying to make my little brother feel bad.

Horrible thing to do, but it just shows you the kind of people they are!

I'm sorry about your mom and step-mom. :( Losing a parent is devastating.

I imagine you are right Leanna, in your assessment of their actions, just truly horrid. Honestly, I don't know how people sleep at night when they treat others this way. I can only imagine it's down to a short fall, or dodgy wiring in the humanity centre, in their brain!

Chin up...shoulders back, don't mess with the bride to be!!!

This puppy of mine is abs bananas. I love her and all but...

-Obedience school

-Getting fixed

-Trained on invisible fence

STAT

Came home 2 nights ago to find a spot in the wall about the size of a small plate scratched and chewed thru down to the drywall.

Sigh.

She bites really hard, I'm all sorts of bashed up. My yorkie I think is physically and mentally traumatized. And we got Solange primarily b/c we felt bad for him being alone all day. Never have seen such an aggressive dog. Bostons are supposed to be mellow!

Puppy. :)

Bitter apple spray on walls, baseboards, furniture. If you need some let me know I have an opened bottle that I don't need, I'll send it to you.

Buy the puppy a Kong (buy 2) to chew on, put some peanut butter and kibble in it and freeze it. Puppy with teeth on that instead of you, while she is occupied with one have the other in the freezer getting ready.

She'll mellow out with age. :)

I have sprayed down everything with that anti chew stuff, accidentally got some in my mouth too BLECH, but it doesn't phase her. She tore the most darling dog bed to shreds in a night with that spray all over it.

We have soaked her rope and froze it, she didn't seem too interested.

She has about 10 toys, but not kong. Will try that food and pb freeze trick.

I am trying to be patient and I am only venting here. Truly it breaks my heart that she can't sleep with us, all of our dogs always have. But she cannot be trusted even a little bit yet. I have to believe things will get better.

you must have codys twin of a different breed.....he is driving me insane!...poor lady had marks on her neck because he keeps being too rough.  give me strength to get through the puppy crap (he got fixed last week)

You poor ladies. :( I haven't had puppies in 5 years. I miss certain parts, not the ones that you are going through though. lol!

This is the 4th puppy I have had as an adult, and I seriously don't remember any of the others being like this.

The man upstairs is trying to teach me something in this challenge evidently.

Que sera sera.

I was going to sleep in the kitchen with her on the tile floor, feel so bad for her being alone out there, but she just would not quit with the friggin lunging and biting. So finally I gave up for tonight.

My old man boxer tore up the guest bed when he was a pup. He dug a hole in the middle until he got to foam and then him and his sister had a field day spreading it around the room. He was also notorious for tearing up rolls of toilet paper.

I hope her teeth come in quickly for you. Does she do it to your husband too?

Oh no, that probably was not your favorite day =\

Yes she is cray with him too, she is maybe even worse with him, trying to show dominance.

All my pups had some sort of issues starting with my shelties katy and blackie (miss them the most they were awesome dogs and this first ones that me and hubby had)

Katy got into the garbage and ate a whole thing of deep fryer grease she puked it up and had the shiniest coat ever

Blackie had potty training issues and chewed cords

dutchess -chewed cords and tore all the fur off of blackies tail until it hurt blackie one day and he snapped she never did it again

lady-chewed cords

duke-was a nippy pup and chewed some cords also chewed up ladys neck but they are close in age so they were puppies together

cody-so far we have lost 2 phone charger cords or more, ladys poor neck is chewed up, he is our first barky dog the others were fairly quiet cody "talks back" when he doesnt want to do something or you yell at him (it is the hound in him) in general though he is quiet his quiet times usually are in the am and the evenings.....it is better when I am able to take him on long walks.

I forget every time what it is like to have a puppy than I get said puppy and go oh yeah thats why.....lol lucky they are cute.......cody still tries to mouth me I think it is a dominance thing I firmly tell him no and than ignore him meaning do not give him attention or I will give something he can chew on either a bone or a toy. I basically try to give him an alternative to chewing on me. I hope he grows out of this crap

Me and Sola like to go outside and run suicides (it's kind of steep up our backyard so it's good to get the heart rate up), in hopes of tiring/mellowing her out for a few min.

It hasn't mellowed her out yet, but she seems to really like it so on we go.  I do not want winter/snow to come.

I walk cody for about an hour and a half or 4.5 miles that takes some of the hyper outta him. in fact hes sleeping right now sweet peace  :yahoo:  :dance3:  :dance3:  :dance3:

Oh, jeeze, Jimmy! What a royal pain! This owner must be quite an SOB. I hope you can work it out soon.

  • 2 weeks later...

My head and ears are in so much pain, I think they are going to explode.  If it didn't hurt so much, I would scream.  It's built up fluid.  It started at 3 am this morning, woke me up out of a dead sleep.  Due to another medication I'm on, I cannot take any Ibuprofen for the time being.  I can't remember the last time I was sick like this.  I just needed to whine.  I just came across some 2 painkillers leftover from a dental procedure, thank goodness :)

I'm sorry, Colleen. It sounds like you're having a miserable time of it. I know how hard it is when you're all stuffed up and cant' breathe properly. I guess you can't take any antihistamines, eh? Bummer! Would a hot toddy or some tea and a hot water bottle soothe you and help you sleep? I hope you feel better tomorrow.

Aww Colleen :( did they give you a course of prednisone to help dry it up?

I'm sorry that you are having such a rough sickness.
