August 11, 201412 yr Awh jesus Beacon ye poor oul fecker, you're going through shit, I'll ask my mam tomorrow if she has any tips, Defo get something from the doc for the anxiety, have ye got a fan in your room at night? Maybe a cold shower before bed, put some drops of lavender oil in a spray bottle with water and spritz yourself and the room. Camomile tea maybe. Apples and apple detox tea are fab for bloating and weight gain. Try the kalms thing from a chemist. Bachs rescue remedy. Windows open at night, Make sure to take time out daily for yourself, go get a massage, aromatherapy massage, reflexology, acupuncture etc You need to switch off from work too.. Every day off take a couple of hours to treat yourself and you should try meditation. These are probably all no use to you lol x Jolting awake is normally from lack of potassium, eating a banana or two a day gets rid of that. I really hope ye start getting better soon, you're going through it a while now xxxxx

August 11, 201412 yr One good thing is that at 50, I feel liberated, confident, strong. I am sad to say that I am experiencing many of these symptoms as well. It started a year ago, at 45. I can only say the sudden onset of sweating----when I'm not hot is so very embarrassing when I'm in a meeting at work. Not to mention that it leaves you feeling wilted and gross.

August 14, 201412 yr Hey Beacon, Was looking online for ideas to clear my skin etc and came across this Dairy also raises ESTROGEN to abnormal levels, which leads to reduced sex drive in women. Dairy foods can account of 60-70% of all estrogen taken in through diet. Most cows are milked continually throughout pregnancy, when estrogen levels are at their highest, so dairy can be very high in estrogen. Additionally, consuming foods that contain sulfur, like garlic and onions, can help control and reduce estrogen levels. Sulfur-rich foods can assist the liver in breaking down toxins. The liver helps to break down and process excess estrogen, so eating to support it can be invaluable in lowering excess estrogen. The Cheat System Diet is an ideal plan to help bring estrogen levels to normal levels. The companion cookbook is available for free download, and it can help you get started immediately! Not had a chance to look properly but is it worth chatting to your doc next time yousee them and ask if diet is a contributor? xx

August 16, 201412 yr I'm starting to get the hot in the middle of the night feelings. Makes me want to kick my husband for snoring, which makes him really mad when he isn't snoring. :). Then, it's 2 AM and i'm like, "Can we open a window??? It's like a ******* OVEN in here!!!" And now, he is like opposite, where he is older now and all cold all the time, when he used to be like the furnace for our house. I love God - keeping us all out of whack all the time. :)

August 17, 201412 yr Author I went on a menopause support forum yesterday and there was a huge fight on a thread about medicine vs. no medicine. :) reminded me of other boards
August 17, 201412 yr I'm a whatever works for you type of person when it comes to medication. As long as all risks and side effects are discussed before hand then there really isn't a problem. I am not a fan of people suffering when there are other options that might help.
