Anyhoo, I must recommend to all bio identical hormones if you need help with menopausal symptoms. I feel great and I am sleeping with no night sweats, thank you God.

Next I am going to see what this dr has to offer as far as diet. This dr looks like just the place to have all sorts of shots and stuff. ;)

Lol you'll go in a woman and come out a man or something! !!

Is this the thread to talk about the terrible thing that happens when I sneeze.....?

practice your Kegels !   practice practice practice !

HERE  is some info

Sazzy, Ive done kegals until I swore I pulled muscles 'down there'

I think its just the curse of getting older and a body that was stressed by 4 babies!

I don't think there is any other help !  Oh no !

Kegel Till You Drop !

Do the ones where you stop your stream  and work it...

getting old ain't for sissies, for true,

but, you are a marvelous and beautiful Woman.  That is the reward.

What's a bio thing? I only get hot flushes, maybe because I'm missing some "gear" but I'm awake loads overnight when it's bad. Would appreciate your insights for after I trial my natural black cohosh :)

I looked into the Bio identical route. I really hope that it may be an option for me in the future. I have a genetic blood clotting disorder and I am not allowed to take any sort of birth control or hormones because it can cause clotting :( which meant that HRT is pretty much out for me, but if it is identical to what I am producing anyway...

Menopause never killed anybody....oh wait....maybe a few who got in the way  :P

You can cold turkey it, Doll.

I did and while it was annoying and uncomfortable at times

and sleep deprivation was hard,

herbs, meditation, exercise, diet

all combined to help ease symptoms.

I wanted to do it naturally like my Grandmothers.

Like Women have for Centuries.

This is not for everybody

and

I am glad there is choice

but, just want you to know

I lived through it pretty well.

oh, wait it isn't over ??

updates later then.

:D

Black cohosh did not help me. Bioidentical hormones : http://www.health.harvard.edu/newsweek/What-are-bioidentical-hormones.htm

I take estrogel, progestorone, dhea and testosterone cream

I feel good no hot flashes, no night sweats, no weeping. I sleep soundly.

I think exercise is awesome for this too, for the anxiety. Also, I think for me alot of diary and red meat makes things worse. Some is ok but not alot

I am so stiff and achey now. Back, knees, hamstrings. Creak creak. I blame this on the change as well according to my research.

La B gets all these too.

The endless joy of being a woman ;)

Poor you Beacon, how are the drugs treating you? Are you better overall now or was it temporary relief? xx

From the trenches..I can report La B is back on HRT - and is now simply a complete lunatic.

This is a massive improvement from the homicidal psychopath with a dread of everything from days with a y in them to potential interplanetary traffic jams.

Oh no. Aren't you on some sort of therapy for it? What the heck?

I think women go through kind of a mid-life crisis too.  Except it is different for girls, right.  :)

Plus - it is different depending on how/when your spouse goes through it.  And your age. and your spouse's age. and how old your kids are.  and........

And I was gonna post some other stuff, but, this is an online forum and well.  yeah.
