August 5, 201412 yr That's OK to feel like that Dancer, it's perfectly normal, and it will get a lot better over the coming days and weeks. You are giving yourself a great gift by not smoking. How are you feeling, exactly? Anything we can help you with?
August 5, 201412 yr Hi Dancer! Some days are hard. I´ve been through a few hard days recently too. I think we all have... been through hell and back at the beginning. We can only hold on. I don´t want to smoke. The mere thought makes me gag. The smell, the thought, makes me gag. But I still get this feeling that "I want to smoke". Weird. Well, I know what would happen if I smoked.... I would gag. And I´d feel like I have failed myself. Stay focus and do not let your junkie win over your thinking brain. Strength, my friend. Please hold on ((((((((((((((((((((((((Dancer)))))))))))))))))))))))
August 5, 201412 yr Author Thank you Action and Susana. I know exactly what you are describing Susana. I don't want to smoke either but until my body/brain heals it can feel tough.
August 5, 201412 yr Hey Dancer These feelings do come... Remind yourself why you quit. Buy yourself a treat with some of the savings that you have made. Pat yourself on the back. You are doing great.
August 5, 201412 yr We have to heal.....be patient......day by day......it will happen....... Just keep repeating...n.o.p.e....no matter what....it does get better..... When I first quit....I thought....ya right....no way...... But it really does...... You know deep down you don't want to smoke.....but the monster plays with you.... Your doing great.....stay strong.....
August 5, 201412 yr HI Dancer you are doing great, some days are tough and you feel Blerrghhhh but this will pass, one minute at a time NOPE, I found singing at the top of my voice helped! You need to do whatever it takes to get you through this tough time, just remember that each time you beat the nicotine you are winning, you are a non smoker and you will not allow the nicotine demon to win xx
August 5, 201412 yr Yes, I remember the foggy feeling...but this too shall pass...and I like the suggestions of juice and singing!
August 5, 201412 yr Dancer, you're going through the hardest days. It will get better, I promise you. Chin up and keep yourself busy!
August 5, 201412 yr i was bouncing off the walls....but as long as you remember why you quit and keep telling yourself..."smoking is not an option because I am committed to this quit" you will be fine. If the addict brain sees a "crack" in the system...that's when it wreaks havok on you and puts your quit in jeapardy NOPE..no matter what :) You got this Kylie! I know you do
August 6, 201412 yr The fact that you are up and dressed in itself is a great achievement as you withdrawal. How is your blood sugar?
August 6, 201412 yr Makes sense to me. But the good news is it's all so temporary. Congrats on quitting, it really is special and important.
