Its Grand Final eve... we can smell the deep heat and the leather and excitement in the air.... so come finals and footy in Melbourne footy songs are the way to go....

 

 

Probably the greatest singer songer writer Australia will ever have.... the legendary Paul Kelly.....

 

 

And the Official, Unoffical anthem of Football.... Up There Cazaly.... (Roy Cazaly was a footy player who used to take amazing marks, well so the books tell us because he played before the days of tv or film.... but he must have been something special because to this day when someone goes for a speckie (those marks (catches) where they jump over the other players) or a hanger (like a speckie but they seem to hang in the air) we still yell up there Cazaly... So they sing this before the national anthem at the Granny (grand final) and 100,000 people sing along, every word... more than sing along to our national anthem.... this was the first record I owned... had an autographed single....
