day 14 and wanna scream
Not sure who has it in the signature but the quote that always gets me is "The only people who crave forever are the one's who keep smoking" (or something to that effect). The only way to truly make it stop is to hold on and push through.

eCigs, does the forum have an opinion?
I was a vaper while I was smoking. I loved all the shiny batteries and tasty liquids. I vaped when I couldnt smoke, and smoked whenever I could. I put the e-cig down along with the analogs, because for me it was the same demon. What I wanted was freedom, to do as I please when and where I please without the constant fear of withdrawal or not being allowed to smoke/vape. That being said I quit by using 21mg strength patches and nicotine gum to get through the worst parts. Quit the gum, and then stepped down and off of the patches. For many other people here this method would not have worked. Whatever your path to freedom is, own it and follow through.

Oneistoo's Quit Journal
I used lollipops, mints and gum to get through the first couple weeks. I had a mountain of them next to me, along with my tea, crochet, and a coloring book. You are rocking this quit! Good for you.

New, flustered, upset
Welcome Jen! I still have episodes of romancing, but the key for me is understanding what is happening and that my mind is trying to play tricks on me. One of the things I did early on that helped me was to outline all the things I hated about smoking, and keep the list close to me all the time. For particularly tough craves/triggers I would run through the list and then picture one of my children smoking.
