  6. What do you mean the numbers game? I am feeling better from the pneumonia, starting to get a little tired of the constant thoughts about cigarettes but the only way to have less of them is to keep going right? :)
  7. Wow! Thank you all for being so supportive!
  8. I am wrapping up day 6 of my quit and found this forum. Not sure where to start, but basically I wound up with pneumonia and the feeling of wanting a breath of air that I couldn't make my lungs take scared the heck out of me. The fear in that feeling was the final straw. I am 31 years old and started smoking when I was 13. I have three children (7,6 and 1) and one of the biggest regrets/shame in my life is not quiting during pregnancy. My grandfather died of lung cancer when I was 6, my grandmother has emphyzema as well as an oxygen tank and my father also has emphyzema. My husband has also quit smoking. Aside from my history with cigarettes, I live in Oregon and I am an accountant. I am glad I found this forum!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
