  2. My favorite book ever is Imajica by Clive Barker. I also enjoy anything written by Neil Gaiman. What do you guys enjoy?
  3. I'm jelly, had to chose which series pass to buy on my Xbox and I picked The Walking Dead. I actually haven't seen Coven yet either. Waiting not so patiently for it to show up on Netflix.

  7. The dude who delivered my sandwich for lunch today smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. How embarrassing to think of all the times that was me.

  12. Haha I agree action, don't care much about the guy from the church one way or another. DD, sorry I couldn't here you because I was busy jumping off the couch and screaming myself. TOO CLOSE!!!!
  13. I am just trying to keep a good mindset about it, but I do have some apprehension. The hardest part for me is going to be having my sister around smoking, and me not going with her. Also, after the big meal everyone goes out and sits on the porch for hours drinking wine and smoking. I am just going to have to suck it up and go be a part of the evening without taking a puff. I don't want to miss out on the laughter and family time, so instead I am going to be a part of the group and try to pay attention to the negative impact of their smoking. I dunno.... Im just trying not to think to much about it at this point. I will muscle my way through one way or another.

  16. Indeed SGT A, it is ultimately up to you to take the plunge but we will all be here for you when you do. Start with one day, hour, minute at a time... whatever you need so long as you start. Decide before hand which one will be the last, and think about why you want it to be the last one while you smoke it.
  17. I can't offer much advice Evelyn, but wanted to let you know that I am cheering for you!! You can do this!!

SAD is more than winter blues, it really can't be corrected with positive thoughts. Focusing on positive things helps but it takes more than that to feel happy. I live in Oregon and the dreary long gray winter is awful! I take an SSRI, snuggle up inside with blankets, warm drinks and good books/movies. It took me a long time to find a way to get through the winter halfway sane.Vitamin D is something a lot of people here do, along with the simulated sunlight lamps. I also keep lots of regular lights on in the house, and just pay for the electricity.

    -8, Thanks!
  21. I got really bad pneumonia and refused to go to the hospital like my doctor wanted because I knew they wouldn't let me smoke. I came home and tried to smoke the rest of the night sick as hell and coughing up a lung with each inhale. I stood there in the parking lot (only place I was allowed to smoke at my apt) and it hit me. I like breathing, and I am too damn smart to be standing there hacking and desperately trying to take a drag, looking like a sick fool instead of in the hospital getting better. At the very least my kids deserve better than that in their mother. After that I just started one hour at a time. On day 6 I found you guys and now I am heading to a month with loads of education and support.
