  10. ((Nancy)) thank you.
  11. I KNEW there was a reason I liked you so much ;-) I think when the time comes, I would not be opposed to Botox. For now, stick with my SPF 120.
  12. Wiley, sorry for your loss. I think a lot of us have lost people to smoking and it's heart wrenching.
  13. Thank you S! Your post kinda got me choked up. I have dreams about her a lot, though we were not close. I was too young I think.
  14. One of the BEST rewards of not smoking is not smelling horrid. AE's "live" is what I have on today. :)
  15. My great aunt died in her late 50's I think. She was in a nursing home for several years before that. I remember the adults talking that the doctors said she would be ok if she quit smoking, but in serious trouble if she didn't. She would sit in the smoking section of the home, and then go back to her room and lay on the bed. Day in and day out. She seemed to me quite like someone who'd given up long before. So I'm almost 39 now. Not that friggin far from 50, which is around the time her health really went south I think. Like in one way or another, pretty much everyone in my fam has died from smokes, booze, or pills. Why in the heck I would have ever started smoking is beyond me. Rest her soul, I do not want to end up like that. It is just not worth it.
  16. Adjusting can be difficult! We are human. Just work through it and try and keep yourself distracted. We're always here for you.
  17. I have about 500 books on my Kindle TBR. So many freebies available! Wish list is another 112. Just started, 'Godcorp.'
  18. I'm happy I'm. Not at work :)
  19. Yay Jackie. You are tough and determined and you have your eyes on the prize. Well done, you are beautiful!

Me and Sola like to go outside and run suicides (it's kind of steep up our backyard so it's good to get the heart rate up), in hopes of tiring/mellowing her out for a few min. It hasn't mellowed her out yet, but she seems to really like it so on we go. I do not want winter/snow to come.
  21. Susana: when I first quit, you and Darth were like lights at the end of the tunnel to me. I admired you guys so much. Especially you. I KNOW you can do this. I want you to be happy, and smoking obviously doesn't make you happy. Please keep hold of that rope and if you need someone to hold onto too, hold onto me.
  22. Welcome Jeffrey! Congrats on a great decision. I always joke that Allen Carr saved my life, but it is really pretty much true. His audible or his books can kinda make the scales fall from one's eyes on this addiction. We are here for you! Anything you need, let us know. :friends:
