  1. I got some of the beverages!
  2. Andrew that is amazing! You should be very proud of yourself. Just very well done.
  3. Baffled, so happy for you =) Enjoy that freedom and thank you for all the kind words and encouragement you have given along the way.
  4. Treat! Fae or witch?
  5. Shoot Evelyn, I missed it!
  6. That happened to me once. I think I was 21 or 22? I did a lot of drinking those 2 years. So, I was standing on the porch talking to my roomie and her boyfriend at like 3 am- matter of fact I was in another quit at that time b.c she was outside smoking because I preferred her not to in the house...and I just kinda passed out on my feet and swan dived into the cement stairs. Huge gash on my forehead. I told my profs and co-workers that my bike chain locked up. I mean, it's not like I could tell them what *really* happened.
  7. Me too! But please split any profit you make off of my words of wisdom 50/50. We can live like kings!
  8. Who's bringing the coffee? I asked my hb today, 'do you think I drink too much coffee?' His response, 'most definitely.' But I only usually drink like 2-3 cups per day. They are big cups, but still.
  9. I like them! Can I add a Buffy ticker to the list?
  10. Nice not to have to worry about that type of thing anymore. Jonesing sucks! So glad we have pulled ourselves away from those types of behaviors.
  11. Hopefully I can post this - I'm very excited about a release next Sunday. Available for pre-order.
  12. My first weekend I was nervous, but just like everything about quitting, turned out I imagined it worse that it was. Posting helps, smokers and never smokers just don't seem to understand quite the same. We all had a first week :)
  13. Fay, well done. So happy to be on this journey with you.
  14. Going with Allen Carr's wisdom, we can get emotional because, when we were smokers, we'd have stress at the same time of almost constantly being in withdrawal. So we smoked, and the withdrawal was temporary relieved. Our brains clumped that withdrawal relief with stress relief. Weaved the two feelings together in our minds. But one really had nothing to do with the other. The good news is, all this is soooo temporary. If we can do it, you can do it too. Sending good vibes your way Juan. I know you are stronger than this!
  15. Thank you for all your enthusiasm and help on the site! My only question is, are you a cat, or are you an egg?
  16. Just remember use the 'BB' code. Which everyone seemed to know but me. ;-)
  17. My FAVE South Park episode. =)
  18. Nowadays there are a lot of good substitutions. Allen Carr's Easy Way to Lose Weight I think would be a great book, only reason I say that is because in it he talks a lot about the pros of not eating meat.
  19. Standing on my back deck is sub-zero temps in a blizzard. Had my Ugg boots by the door and the most ridic cap that had cat ears on it. Now I complain in my head just running to my car in parking lot b/c so cold. I don't know how I did it all those years. Oh wait, I know how, I was an addict ;-)
  20. 10 month is amazing. You should be over the moon! Well done Sharon.
  21. Pandora has a workout genre station?

Tiff made a good post: So. Where do you guys keep your hearts?
  23. I know what you mean. I used to stay quiet more (not 100%, but tried to not say too much) because I generally felt like people would be waiting to pounce on me if there was any way at all that what I said could be taken the wrong way. I saw it happen daily to people, and I just didn't find it beneficial to anyone-or their quits-to argue for the sake of arguing online. I don't feel like that here, and I hope everyone here feels that same level of comfort. I'm all for people respectfully disagreeing, variety is the spice of life! But the pots shots are what are unnecessary and awkward.
