April 12, 201412 yr Is it weird......I mean I never knew him on the boards...... but I used to read jwg's posts. I read them a lot......I would go in search of them when I was having a rough go. Some of them were SO funny, some were so somber and serious... Im wishing I had of copy and pasted a bunch to a file so I could still read them sometimes.... Any chance that anyone else did this? Or is still over there and would copy and paste a few for me? Is that weird?
April 13, 201412 yr Julie!! I am in the process of having my IP changed so I can be a guest at the QSMB. One thing I want to do is copy jwg's wonderful posts and bring them here. I also want to copy some of my old posts and posts of others that are helpful. There is no copyright on those posts so we can legally do that. The way I see it is I contributed to the success of that board in the nearly two years I was there. Those posts belong to me as much as anyone else. To answer your questions, no that is not weird at all. I feel the same way.

But do you think I can remove them all now? something has to give,, today it was over a hundred degrees in rhode island,, I can not continue to wear long sleeve shirts . So these patches Have to go that are below my shoulder I can count 23. Eleven on one arm and twelve on the other But I am wondering if I am going to take these off should I be brave and have someone get the ones off my back that are still there. Some may have fallen off already but there must be a good 20 still I would hate to jeopardize my quit, but I have to be able to work out side this summer too.. And A trip to the beach would look silly with shorts and long sleeves.. Thank goodness I was not on the patch longer and had to cover my legs also Well any input would be great.. I hope I don’t mess up and looses this quit just to wanting to wear a tee shirt and not look so silly I should have just put the clear ones on my arms then we would not have this problem.. If you are new to the patch save the small 7’s for your arms.. Just a tip.. Nobody from a law enforcement agency is gonna slap you with a fine or throw you in jail. Someone *may* file suit because they feel their rights have been infringed. Easy Peasy

John's estate might ... Who knows? That would be for the courts to decide and counsel to argue. What is *certain* is that no one here "owns" them. You can do what you want. They'd most likely just get a "Cease and Desist" or "Takedown Notice" from the Copyright Holders' representation. It would be rather difficult (more like impossible) to establish that any actual damages occurred by copying JWG's work for our viewing pleasure. These posts are made public in a public forum.

Crafty fella :) Yes Julie, he was a very smart man but he suffered from severe dyslexia. He never got it treated. He traveled frequently as his parents were gypsies and so treatment was not an option. Also I wonder how much they knew about dyslexia back then. But don't let that fool you. Very very smart man.

April 13, 201412 yr I do apologize that I spoke out of line regarding the legalities. I was speaking out of frustration because I miss his posts too. :) I've been reminded that it would be best to copy and keep posts from there privately regardless of the legalities. Publically posting as I was thinking of doing would only start a new war and that is not what I want. In all honestly I would not want them to copy our posts from here either. Julie's idea of keeping them private was much better.
