  2. That is fantastic! So happy to hear that she is still smoke free! Great work!!
  3. I'm so sorry you are feeling this way TEW. Please don't smoke and throw all your hard work away. It's the addiction talking telling you that there is relief in a cigarette....but there isn't. Sadly, with or without smoking life is hard at times. I'm so sorry it's so hard on you right now. Please don't smoke. Play the numbers game instead.

  5. I'm sorry you are having such a difficult day. That sucks.... Please don't smoke. It won't help, I can promise you that. If you smoke you'll only have regrets in which to add to how badly you are already feeling. What's the point in that? You've come so far!! I can tell you that at more than 3 years out I don't get urges to smoke anymore. Even when really stressed. That will happen for you too if you give it more time and fight through these kinds of cravings/bad days. Please let us know how you are doing. We are here for you!
  6. Great to see you back! You can do this!!

  15. Awesome sauce!
  16. I have no idea how I ever managed to afford to smoke yet, strangly, I don't have extra money now that I don't smoke. hahahaha---I wonder what I'm wasting it on now!!!
  17. This is a wonderful post! This explains so well why I would be planning my next cigarette whilst still smoking the first one! You can recover though. At more than 3 years quit now I can honestly say that I don't even think about smoking anymore. It's almost hard to believe that I used to be such a hard core smoker who thought it was not possible to quit. The cravings don't go away over night but it's gets easier with each passing day until eventually...nothing at all. Thanks for posting!

  24. I work in a hospital pharmacy manageing a discount drug program that provides services to the low income/uninsured in our community. I've been doing this for about 2 years and I love it! Prior to that I worked in the IT department of the same hospital supporting the software they used for billing. About 18 years there. I like just about any out door activity except during the winter months. Boating, swimming, hiking in particular. Love spending time with my girls shopping and giggling. I also collect cats....
  25. Good to "see" you and congratulations! Wonderful testimony that quitting smoking changes lives!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
