  2. Likes Alex and Sierra, Allen Carr and watching the sun rise with his coffee in the morning. He's a little stubborn, extremely honest and not too proud to admit when he's wrong. He likes Dogs! He likes to give Ava a hard time, or is it the other way around?!

  19. I cried more than I have in my life, the first couple of months I quit. It's completely normal. Give it some time and I promise that smoking will be far from your mind. In the mean time, work on creating new habits to battle those craves when they come. Good job posting about what you're feeling. Take smoking off the table. Not one puff ever or N.O.P.E.
  20. Welcome to the Quit Train and congratulations to you and your husband for deciding to quit smoking! This is the best decision you will ever make. :)
  21. I'm so sorry ((((Bonnie))))))) :( My cat had to be put to sleep a year or so ago. He had cancer and I am ashamed to admit, he wheezed quite a lot too. It never even occurred to me and most of us I am sure that we were putting our pets at risk. It's another good reason to keep our quits that's for sure.
  22. Welcome Mason! It takes time to get comfortable with not smoking but it is doable! So happy to have you here with us. I found this site to be invaluable in the early days of my quit.

    Smoking sucks...
  24. We discuss how bad second hand smoke is for humans, but we don't talk about how bad it is for our pets. Here's a list of the most common diseases found in pets who passive smoke. Breathing problems in dogs and asthmatic-like symptoms in cats Salivation Diarrhea Vomiting Cardiac abnormalities Respiratory difficulties and respiratory paralysis Feline lymphoma in cats Lung cancer in dogs Nasal cancer in dogs Death: from 1-5 cigarettes and from 1/3-1 cigar can be fatal if ingested.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
