  1. Wow those sound fabulous. I still can't wrap my brain around the idea of Vegemite. Lamb is really expensive in the states. How is it in your area?
  2. No zone area
  3. Super tasty sausage
  4. I am going to say #1 is the lie. It is odd for a festival to be during the week, while most people are working.
  5. @NoNicChick, just keep looking ahead and not behind you. Smoking no longer serves you. When those craves appear, breath deep and imagine the clean air filling your lungs. Once the nicotine is out of your system, it is only a matter of redirecting your thoughts. You can do this!
  6. not very young
  7. Hellkatbaby, your emotions are going to be all over the place. You are facing the unknown and temporarily losing control of your life (except for that choice to quit smoking). When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, it was like stepping on a roller coaster and just going along for the ride. No one understands what you are going through, unless they have been there. It will be difficult for your family to know what you need at any given moment. Just feel blessed that they are there and care. I am sure they mean well. Let the tears flow, if you feel the need. Sometimes it is healthy to have a good cry. You are doing great with all you are processing. Feel free to private message me, if you would like to talk. Know that you have my continued prayers. Linda
  8. Welcome NoNicChick. So glad you found us. I smoked for 42 years and could not find the courage to quit until I stumbled upon this forum. The people here showed me how to get it done. Dont' just read about the addictions and watch videos. Visit the whole forum. The NOPE pledge helps solidify your quit. There are games to play and fun threads that help you get to know us all. I look forward to helping you on your journey. Linda
  9. I guess I am stuck with #2 even though I think it is true. My son moved home 3 times. My husband and I decided if the 4th time was going to happen we were going to put a hole in the floor of the shed for a pit toilet. Thank goodness it did not happen.
  10. I feel so excited when someone new posts that they want to quit. A chance to help someone else change their life. Of course I feel a huge disappointment when you relapse. Only because I know that, if you can just hang tough, you can succeed too. Never give up quitting and don't quit posting.
  11. Was that playing with the girls or the balls? lol Since jillar beat me to #3, I will take #1
  12. Gee jillar. I was on the Bozo show too. Maybe we were on the same show!
  13. jillar is the winner. I was too chicken when I got the first holes. I actually had a doctor do them.
  14. #1 I have more than two holes in my ears for pierced ears #2 I have a degree in accounting #3 I have a kayak

  17. You are doing great Diane. You have conquered the tough weeks.
  18. I am going to say #2 is the lie. Don't ask me why.
  19. I would not say anything. I never wanted anyone to notice my smoking. If he did ask about my quit then I would guide him to this forum and encourage him.
  20. @Sazerac I agree. You have lived a very colorful life. I am going to say #3 is the lie. I hope you let us know what type of act it was. I had you pegged for a writer.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
