  1. I get your feelings of wondering if it is a a real quit, I felt that at times too. It is most definitely a real quit sweetie, get rid of those silly thoughts that its not, or that tour cheating, or that someone using another method to quit is better than you cos here's a news flash... All quits are different, your quit is what works for you when just make sure no more smokes.
  2. Oh I should have said I did use NRT gum. I have been nicotine free since week 9. When I had the gum I still got craves but when I get craves now it's usually an emotional thing and nothing like what I had while still using the gum.
  3. As far as I am concerned if your not putting a smoke in your mouth you have quit, patches are an aid to assist you. Here's a very loose analogy, if you are dyslexic and use voice to text software are you really writing your essays?... Of course you are, just with an aid. Keep up the great work you have put in so far today. And welcome. Congratulations for making the choice, to take the challenge to live the change... My 3 c's. I haven't used patches so can't tell you if the craves are normal but someone will have.

  9. So this is slightly off track but anyone else here ever caught a game, and if you did, did you ever accidentally on purpose let one through to clock the blue?
  10. So my Great Grandma re-married after my G-Grandad passed. Gran Norm was a tea totaller and when my mum and her sibs would go there for the holidays he made them practice this little saying every day so that they had it memoriesed (as both my Grandparents were smokers).... My mum (who never smoked, Dad smoked from 10-24.. so not in my lifetime) who never smoked taught it to my kid.. which with her dyslexia is actually a huge achievement... it used to piss me off no end that she would sing it as I went out to have a smoke. But now its pretty apt.

  22. ooo... ooo.... pick me... pick me... Morris dancers,.... white pants and long sleeve top, some sort of ribbony chest crossing thing, a straw hat with flowers and ribbons, 2 white hankies to wave and bell pads strapped to their shins.... will this picture help?? (all you would need to 'make' is the chest bit, and the shin pads, possibly they hankies and then stick some cheap plastic flowers all over a cheap hat.)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
