  3. Yes Joybella, what these others have said is true and yes, we are all here to support you but I think you know that you alone are the final deciding factor in quitting successfully. All of us were once in the same position as you are in now. The only way through is to just put up with the crummy feelings that come along with the early quit. They won't kill you and they won't last forever. It gets better as time goes on. As others have said. Read as much as you can about this addiction. Watch the videos available right here on this site. Know what you are fighting for and why. Realize you CAN do it and commit to the quit! You can do it - believe in yourself :D

  14. Hi Kiwilee :) Congrats on your decision to quit smoking! Like you, I recently quit and I too had a really bad chest infection at the time, coughing bad the whole bit. That's what finally pushed me over the edge to try and quit though so it was a good thing. In almost no time, I started feeling better and now, my breathing has really improved noticeably. I hope you stick with it and read, read, read about this addiction. Understanding how it works is key in making your quit long term. See you around my friend :D

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
