  3. Might be too late! I sent Bakon up there and told him to get people off the Lido Deck so we can start cleaning things up.

  5. The captain heard about all these goodies being served on the Lido Deck and decided to abandon the bridge to get in on the action. Well now, I have a hell of mess to deal with before the next Lido Deck celebration. Hope you don't have one coming up too soon!

  7. Great post Jo and it's true! The fear of quitting is often much worse than quitting itself. I think too that some of us use it as an excuse not to try and quit for fear of what it will be like yet as you point out, once we have quit, our only regret is that we didn't do it sooner! Come on people. Make the commitment and take back your life!
  8. Morning all ..............
  9. 6 months or a half year smoke free. Either way you look at it, this is a huge accomplishment Rose so be sure to treat yourself to something special today. Great work - keep going
  10. Great Job Sslip! 3/4 of the way to that Lido Deck and only a month away from double digits. Now that's something to get excited about! Keep up the great work my friend

  15. You are doing great t4c! And yes, you will notice any number of quit symptoms like the "brain fog" and all sorts of other things. The increased anxiety is also something I felt for a while in the early days but just know that all these symptoms are temporary You will acclimate to your "new normal" in good time and you will be very happy about what that new normal is

  23. Just look around this place and see all the people who have endured exactly what you are facing at this moment. We are many and we want YOU to join us. It's totally doable but you must do the heavy lifting to make it happen - just as we all did for ourselves. Everyone is the same when it comes to this quitting thing. No short-cuts and there are no special flowers who get to skip the hard parts. Once you are through it, it will seem like a small price to pay for what you have gained
  24. This is what the early days are about, unfortunately but - it is doable and YOU WILL get through it just as we all have Your brain has been thrown for a complete loop because you quit your addiction and it's not functioning normally at the moment plus, your addiction is demanding to be fed and can't understand why that's not happening. Fact is though that YOU are now a Non-Smoker so feeding that old addiction is now off the table Yay YOU

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
