    Are you married? Children?
  2. Ok...just checking.
  3. Is she here and I am just missing her posts somehow?
  4. Have you ever played a 24 drinking game? Ha! JK...I have not ut find them very funny. I don't think I would be standing by the end of the episode! :drinks:
  5. Um...yeah!
  6. That's a big snake. Do you know what kind?
  7. Welcome back, Jimmy! So glad you are here!
  8. I don't think I have ever tried asparagus. How do you like to cook it? Do you like beets? Do you prefer plain green beans or green bean casserole?
  9. I don't think I have ever even tried asparagus. How do you like to cook it? Do you like beets?
  10. Good to see you, Jimmy!
  11. You and your kids deserve it!!
  12. How many hampsters do you have? What are their names? Do you have any other pets?
  13. So everyone knows I am the Queen of relapsing. Maybe I should change my name. But that last couple of times I have quit, I have felt fear of failure because of my history but I have also felt extremely happy. Happy that I was quit, even through the first couple of craves. How come I can't make that happy feeling last? How come it seems to disappear?
  14. Have to go to Walmart today? Really? Ughh....

  15. Brave cat! My cat has done this a few times. My dogs play pretty rough together and every once in a while things sound like they might get serious. Once they sounded like one of them was getting quite upset and my cat jumped off the porch in the middle of all four of them...hissing. All of the dogs we so stunned they all ran off in different directions. It was quite comical.
  16. Glad you are feeling a bit better. Of course we would never be mad at you for posting an SOS. Post away. Someone will always be here for you. Keep on keepin on!
  17. I went to community college first and majored in Math. I loved all my Calc classes. I remember my Calc 3 teacher was huge...crazy pregnant...like about to pop. She had a really strong New York accent, talked really fast and was difficult to understand...but I really liked her. Unfortunately I remember nothing of calculus and had to reteach myself Algebra 1 this year so I could help my stepdaughter with it. When I got to Penn State, my favorite class was Bio 240: Function and Development of Organisms. First half was animals and second half was plants. The teacher for the first half was this goofy little Canadian guy. He was awesome. I had him for Genetics too and I also really enjoyed that class. He once marked a question wrong on a test because I used a method leanred in a different class to come up with the answer and got a different answer than him. I went to his office to ask why it was wrong because I was really confused. He stared at it for a while and couldn't figure out why it would be wrong so gave me the credit. I bet that stumped him...having two different answers be correct for the same question. :)
  18. Evelyn, Like the others said, you already know a cigarette won't helped. You have relapsed before and I know the cigarette didn't help because you are back here again and you have quit! Protect your quit from everyone and everything...even yourself. Protect your quit from the little junkie inside telling you to smoke. Do something...anything other than smoke. Are you hungry? Eat a snack? Tired? Take a nap. Angry? Do some deep breathing or exercise to release some tension. Bored? go for a walk...play with your hamsters...clean the cage...take a shower...anything but smoke. You can do this.
  19. Good for you, Ross. I am saving for some new sneakers. Right now I have hand me downs from one of my step daughters. They are pretty worn out and starting to hurt my feet. Hopefully get a pair this weekend.
  20. I was. I worked pretty hard at school. Last two years I had two jobs and an internship/volunteer work so grades slipped a bit but still managed to do well. Worst classes were probably o-chem, linear algebra and all history classes. I hated history.
  21. I do!
  22. If you could wish for one thing for yourself, what would it be? If you could wish for one thing for one other person, what would it be? If you could wish for one thing for the world, what would it be? Will you sing us a song?
  23. Where did you go to school?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
