  1. Morning All, a big NOPE from me :)
  2. Hello blackstorm, nice to meet you. I'm a little confused about your quit date; when did you quit smoking? I am a fan of horror also - what sort of films do you in your podcast?
  3. I think you would make a good mod!
  4. I see it, you're not mad ;)
  5. Dentalfloss, Wendy, Evelyn - all wonderful trees :)
  6. Sue if you can email me the picture, I will post it here for you :)
  7. Or you bring the Grinch - it's all in your imagination :p
  8. Yippee, congratulations! You are doing great :)
  9. Huge congratulations to you!
  10. Way to go Wendy! Congratulations sweetheart, it's been a while month already! Hope you do something nice today to celebrate :) Hope that you are well and enjoying your weekend :d
  11. NOPE :)
  12. Hip hip, hooray! Happy birthday mammy, I hope you have a wonderful day today :) Makes sure you have a few wines and try to relax! See you a bit later (((Doreen)))
  13. I never read it personally, but I've heard good things about it from some people. I think everyone is different, so some will find it helpful, while others won't. Let us know how you get on :)
  14. You are doing great! And so glad that you stopped the patch earlier than planned! The anticipation of quitting really can be worse than the actual quitting :) I know that your sleep patterns will be all over the place at the moment, and 99% of us have been there. I had bouts of not being able to sleep, followed by being tired all the time; didn't know if I was coming or going! But I'm happy to say that now (and for the last few months) I sleep better than I ever have! I get the same amount of sleep that I used to when I smoked, but I fall asleep quicker, and wake up with more energy than I've had since I was a kid! I guess my body likes me not smoking :) I'm glad you found us, and that we can help you. In turn you are helping all of us, so thank you so much for that :d Have a great rest of the weekend :)
  15. Please don't be ashamed - post one whenever you feel like you need to. No such thing as posting 'too many' :)
  16. Awesome, really well done Evelyn :)
  17. I did when I was a kid, but not now... You are talking about the ones on your face, right?!
  18. Sorry I'm late Evelyn, but well done dear, you did great!
  19. Colleen, I'm glad you squashed that thought! I know the ones - they inly ever last a second, by they are annoying
  20. Excellent post! It has really made me think. I've never posted the words SOS, but I have posted some kind of help me pre-SOS type messages, and the replies I got were always enough to keep me from progressing to a full-blown SOS. Or I have spoken to a few people in PM who have helped me. But if I did get to the stage of needing an SOS, I would like to think that I would post it, because I know how frustrated I get when others don't... I know there aren't really many rules around here, but one rule for me is to ALWAYS believe in SOS (posting or replying to them) I would be interested to hear from people who didn't SOS and did relapse...
  21. Tiff I think you need to look at your story again, because I don't see what you see. It starts off with 'I have 2 friends. They are husband and wife. They both quit a year and 3 days ago.', but what it should ACTUALLY say is - 'I have 2 friends. They are husband and wife. One quit a year and 3 days ago, and the other still smokes'. I'm not sure 'how' your friend does it either, but I don't really want to know. Smoking sucks, plain am simple. And I will never do it again for as long as I live.
  22. Looking forward to hearing from you later telling us that you are hungover but also still have your quit in tact... I will be waiting...
  23. I would go with Rocky.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
