One of my work buddies just got back from an African Safari, and he loved it. Not sure if it's my cup if tea though... In fact, if I lived in Florida, I wouldn't need holidays ;)
  2. When I had an e-cig (way back when) I had trouble controlling how much I used it. With a cigarette, your cigarette lasts an infinite amount of time, anywhere from 3-5 minutes. With the e-cig, there was no 'end', I could use it for 15, 20, 25 minutes at a time without even realising! That was my problem. But I was using nicotine, and by the time I went back to smoking normal cigarettes, I was smoking twice what I was before the e-cig... But, if you can speak to Sharon or Nay, they will probably have more positive stories. Maybe it depends on your personality? I'm a super duper addictive person (with everything), so maybe that's why it didn't work out for me.
  3. How many episodes are there Evelyn?
  4. Hi Wendy, certainly sounds like progress to me, even if 'tiny' ;) Same time tomorrow then :)
  5. haha, I used to know all the words from the first and second films... Austin has some serious MOJO!
  6. Way to go, Rooster! Amazing!
  7. Yep, this is true. Never give up!
  8. ... now I know what to Get Tasha for valentines! DD, if you have trouble, I'm sure me or Marti can help (hopefully)
  9. Is this from the Big Lebowski? I'm ashamed to say I have never seen this film...
  10. Sorry Evelyn, wasn't around much yesterday, so missed this! Congratulations on 3 weeks my dear - I was just admiring your ticker in the NOPE thread ;) Almost to a month, this is so exciting!
  11. Hi Wendy. Between 6 and 6.30 is when I give my cat her insulin, so I will PM you just before I do that :)
  12. Morning ladies (and BAT), a big NOPE from me, too :)
  13. Wendy, even if you think there is 'nothing to report', please keep posting anyway. It's nice to know how you are doing, and what you are thinking ;) How is day 5?

  19. Hi Jeni, nice to meet you :)
  20. Yes, the walk was always enough to ride out the potential crave. It gave me a lot of time to think, and I always came to the same conclusion by the time I got home - that I was the one in control, and not the cigarettes; I decided to go for a walk instead of giving in :)
  21. I'm sorry to hear about your inlaws, but it is now your goal to do something about it for yourself, so your kids aren't saying the same thing about you in the future! You can do this, and I believe it in you. Here for you whenever you need me my friend. Remember to take those tablets; I'll send you bloody PM's twice a day if you need me to! ;)
  22. Aww, Marti, this is so lovely to see! I mean, I never doubted you for a second, but I am so happy this day is here - 10 months was a really big achievement for me, going from since months to double :) You are an amazing person, so make sure that you spoil yourself silly today! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
  23. Excellent posts ladies... I vividly remember fearing these 'dangerous craves' more than I actually remember having them... the real problem for me was that I live about 50 yards from the local shop, and they are pretty much open all the time, and really quiet (so hardly ever any queues), so if one of these 'dangerous craves' hit me, I could have been to the shop, bought the fags, and lit up within about a minute. That is why I HAD TO stick to NOPE, and was always as vigilant as possible. If I felt one of these 'dangerous craves' coming I would actually go for a walk to be further from my house, and I would purposely leave my wallet at home, too!
  24. This is fantastic Jess, I'm so proud of you! I know it's been hard, but that just makes it even sweeter! Here if you need me :)
  25. This is so wonderful Pippa! Huge congratulations and thanks for all that you do for everyone - you are such a kind and caring lady :d
