  1. Welcome Tony! You can do this! We're all here for you! :good3:
  2. LOL. That's one smell I wish I could avoid!
  3. Michele, You deserve better than this. Smoking is NOT the answer to your problems. Did you forget that grandpa died of lung cancer? Or that your beloved Mother-in-law died of complications from smoking? Imagine what your early death would do to your husband and siblings. What do think your second hand smoke is doing to Todd, Nippy, and Pepper? It's harming them, too. Don't do this. You are stronger than you give yourself credit for. Believe in you.
  4. I was 12 and I stole them from the house I babysat at. They were "KOOLS" and they were pretty gross. As a teenager, I smoked Marlboro reds. Then at 21, I just stopped completely. I couldn't even stand to be around smokers. Fast forward to 2007, at the age of 31, Stressful time for us and I picked it up again. Ugh, I wish I never would have done that! :(
  5. Has anyone else noticed how much better they can smell things now? I was at the store today and of all the people that walked past me....I could pick out the smokers from several feet away! Yikes! To think I used to smell like that!
  6. Wow, what a wonderful site! Thanks everyone! I'm doing pretty good! Been sleeping a lot more, but still on the quit train! No need to send Uncle Guido.
  7. Hi Joe! I'm 38 years old and married. We have 2 dogs no kids. I've been a one pack a day smoker for 8 years. Thanks to everyone else for the warm welcome!
  8. I will not smoke today. NOPE
  9. Hello all! My name is Michele and I am an addict. Today is Day 1 of being Nicotine free. I'm currently on Day 7 of Chantix. I have "quit" Cold turkey once before for 6 months and then relapsed. I am done with smoking! NOPE Never give up....Never surrender!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
