  1. -4 I’m doing OK Dors.
  2. -5 Awright Scouse? Watching Responder on TV. How’s Freeman’s accent? Not bad for a soft southern shite, is it?
  3. Wrap up warm and stay safe.
  4. Well - as practice quits go, those are pretty good. You can definitely quit. You know the drill. You can do nothing about the minute just passed, only the one you're in. don't put anything in your mouth and set fire to it - and you'll be fine.
  5. Sorry to hear that. sorry you chose to smoke again. How long were you smoke-free?
  6. Well - going forward, you might find the SOS board more use if you post before you smoke. Why did you smoke?
  7. Hey JH, you’re getting all the old timers out. Have a smoke. You’ll feel great. That wonderful rush of choking poison, filling your lungs, chasing away your self-respect. Oh to be back smoking again... Oh wait...smoking is crap. That’s why you stopped. Deep breaths and big girl panties on. You can absolutely do this. I did, and I’m a skirt-wearing islander, with a crush on @bakon Well done for calling yourself out. Well done for making yourself wait. Things will get better and you will realise you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Now. Keep on keepin’ on
  8. Just passing' by. Keep on keeping' on
  9. A cigarette is designed for ONLY ONE purpose - to make you want another. That it kills you is an unfortunate side-effect. Collateral damage, if you will. Billions has been spent on making smoking as addictive as possible. On day one of my quit, I was told that all I needed to do to stay quit was not to put things in my mouth and set fire to them. It’s as true now, as it was then. Getting addicted is not a bug, it’s a feature. If you’re just starting out, remember that. You got addicted because you fell into a trap laid for you, by someone with the express intent of addicting you, and the full knowledge that the addiction would kill you. Don’t put things in your mouth and set fire to them.
  10. Happy Easter Quitters - New and Old. You got this.
  11. Yo Porky. Keep on keepin’ on.
  12. Hey Guttie. Just do nothing. That’s all. The craving will pass. You can do this.
  13. Hey @Iwantone Well done on your quit. It sounds a lot like anxiety - which given the times in which we live, is not surprising. If the deep breathing is working, then I think you’re all good. However, if get worse, give the medics a call. Quitting, I discovered meditation - and have been doing it ever since. I find it really helpful.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
