  2. @QuittingGirl Yes, we'll be making an improvement so that so shows visitors etc. too. It will look and function similar to this.
  3. I have been thinking about putting up a topic for quitters who aren't Newbies anymore and/or have been quit for over a year. Sometimes we do get cravings and/or thoughts about smoking, so we can put our thoughts and anything that happened to us after the initial one year. I will go first because I had a thought last night, I wouldn't call it a craving, so it was just a thought. I went out with very good friends of ours last night for dinner. And the wife of the couple who we are friends with smokes. When we finished dinner and left the restaurant, she lights up which is fine with me, I am not one of those bad Ex-smokers that complain that people don't smoke in front of me. Anyway, the moment she lit up, for a split second I looked at her cigarette and just went back to looking around. It really didn't bother me, which is good, but we are always addicts, and we cannot ever go back! That is why this site is so important.👍 I want to have this thread for people who are quit from a year plus. @MarylandQuitter Can you put this as a pin up on the top, so people can post here, if they had the same sort of situation that I did yesterday? I guess that's what you call it when a post stays on the top. Thanks!!👍
  4. I am not going to smoke today. NOPE.
  5. Give @MarylandQuitter a little time. Only I spent two days working to get us this far. Haha 😄
  6. Thank you! We’ve had a very demanding week. We moved the website to a new and more powerful server, but that was only preparation for the new version of the forum, which we successfully deployed today. @MarylandQuitter will probably still have some work to do on the new design. And I’m trying to get our ticker up and running again. https://www.quittrain.com/tickers/
  7. Wow ! I hardly recognise the place Well done MQ it looks great Thank You for all you do for us 😀🐸

  10. It looks amazing!!! 🙂 I love the new look and the Header is really great! 😄 Thank you so much MQ for doing all this for us!! 👍 You have helped so many of us quit and the future quitters as well. I honestly don't think I would have been able to quit, if I didn't find this place!
  11. I llike the new design and functionality. Very nice and really good work. I did have issues logging in at first and then realized it was on me. I signed up for this account years ago with an email address I rarely use anymore. Fixed that and am happy to see things look and work well here. Again, great job.
  12. Sorry to hear this, Stew. You have our support and positive vibes. Take care of yourself.
  13. I thought I was in the wrong place then 🙃 looking good, though very bright 😎 haha
  14. Sorry to hear about this issue Stew😢 Not an easy time for you but I'm convinced you'll get through it. We'll be here to support you and we will all be thinking of you & wishing for the best outcome and your complete and speedy recovery🙏
  15. Everything looks very modern looking, I like it. @MarylandQuitter will you be putting back the section at the bottom that has the people who have been on in the past 24 hours? I like to see if there are any newbies or spammers lurking.
  16. It looks new & fresh to me. I like what I see so far! Great job guys!
  17. The color scheme etc. is way off. Gonna take me a bit to figure out the new editor..
  18. Thinking of you and your family as you go through this life changing event. Go get the great care you need and deserve! Post as often as you feel like it. I think you topped the list on the "bestest" reason to keep your quit! 🙃
  19. Hang in there @Stewbum! Cardiac stuff is scary, but I am glad you are getting yourself an experienced team. Bypass surgeons are hotshots and they know how to help. Something like 400,000 bypasses are done in the US every year, so put yourself in good hands. We’re all pulling for you!
  20. @QuittingGirl @MarylandQuitter Your wish is my command. Our very own Station Activity is online.

  24. NOPE!! to smoking. YEP to more ER visits.😒
  25. Great idea .. Anything that keep your hands and brain busy will help 🐸
  26. Have you considered using a patch or nicotine Gum to help you along . You have to use it carefully. But it might help you over the first hurdle 🐸
  27. Well I did good until about 5 mins ago. I accomplished something I have been needing to do for a long time and smoked in victory and since I havent had any in awhile it tasted disgusting 🤢 so I truly believe that's it for me my 24 hours starts now again. Thank you all for the support and I will def keep you posted
  28. Good for you @shy. Attaway to turn things around! Yes, every hour you don’t smoke is a big victory. They add up fast! I, too, occasionally used nicotine gum/lozenges as a temporary tool while quitting. Way better than smoking or vaping, when used to protect your quit. Let us know how you do during those first 24 hrs.
  29. Thank you all for the kind words. I am truly trying. I threw myself into some projects cause I relapsed on alcohol and weed but I'm a week sober now. I did end up getting nicotine gum to help with cravings. But I will not take another puff. 5:30 tomorrow I will be 24 hours smoke free I will def let you know. Again thank you all it means a lot to know I have support here. 😀
  30. I forgot how long this lethargy lasted for me. Seems to be dragging on? I know I wrote about this during the last quit I will have to keep looking. KTQ
