  3. Hi and Welcome, it’s great to have you here, and Big Congrats on your near 6 week quit, that is fabulous. remember to give yourself rewards, it could be a small weekly reward, or a bigger monthly reward, all that cash saved from not smoking, could get you something you really wanted but couldn’t afford, plus it keeps the motivation going, who doesn’t love a reward Most of all, stay positive and determined, if you want something badly, you will get it . all the best

  14. Hi Jo Wow … I’m so sorry you have had to deal with this … it’s sounds horrible… Dam smoking …. Even after years of quitting , it can come back and slap us in the face .. I wish you well in the future , for a speedy recovery
  15. Never take another puff Even if your arse is on fire
  16. Well done! You seem to have the right stuff to keep this quit going. Stay close and strong. Reach if need be. Love the Telecaster!
  17. Huge Congratulations on the decade quit and thank you for all you do and the beautiful photo`s. Relax and enjoy. Best wishes always.
  18. Wow. Fingers crossed that the worst is over. And it’s awesome to talk about our quits with pride! Gone are the days of looking at the floor sheepishly, evading the question, or trying to minimize how much we’re smoking. Proudly proclaiming our quits is another beautiful facet of nonsmoking freedom!
  19. This is a fantastic reminder of the slippery slope, @dvs51. One is too many and 10,000 is never enough. The ONLY thing smoking does for us is make us want to smoke more. Keep the quit!
  20. It was scary in the diagnosis stage and the treatments been annoying but I think i"m through the worst of it The first thing the surgeon said was "How many smoke fi you have a day" ... I was so proud saying none since 2017.... "Good for you",said the surgeon, "but the damage was done. Although it would have been much worse if you were still smoking. We'd definate have needed surgery"
  21. Congrats on graduating to the decade club, Chris! That’s an amazing achievement. And thanks for the daily NOPEs and all of your support here on the Train. It’s helped me and many others defend our quits.
  22. Hi, Jo. Very glad to hear from you… but I’m so terribly sorry that you’ve had to go through this. It sounds agonizing. Thanks for this info. Smoking poisons our bodies in so many ways… yet another reason to go the NOPE route! Take good care, my dear.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
