My advice is to come on here every day, especially in the beginning months, do the daily Nope pledge and read everything you can from old and new posts to all the information that we have. You can do this! It's not easy but it gets better the longer you stay quit. Good luck!

  8. Me too @Melissa247! I re-read this post whenever I find myself romanticizing what it was like to smoke. Glad to have you with us! How long since your last smoke or vape?
  9. Welcome Melissa! Read as much as you can. Knowledge is helping you in your quit! It helps to understand how you feel and why. That this is only temporary. I quit 7 months ago. I kept a diary. This helped me to notice improvements. And also to remember those first couple of weeks and how this was so to keep my quit. Reach out to us when it is getting very difficult for you.

  17. I am so glad I read this while I was struggling because it helped me to focus on the positives of quitting and debunked so many of the lies and excuses we tell ourselves. I also learned a few new things. This is my second time quitting, but it feels different already. I'm very thankful to have found this forum and I hope to give and find support in this group (quit net was around the last time I quit).
