New and wondering how to quit with mental illness?
DenaliBlues replied to shy's topic in Introductions & About Us
Good for you @shy. Attaway to turn things around! Yes, every hour you don’t smoke is a big victory. They add up fast! I, too, occasionally used nicotine gum/lozenges as a temporary tool while quitting. Way better than smoking or vaping, when used to protect your quit. Let us know how you do during those first 24 hrs. -

That's GREAT news @Stewbum Keep getting them in future if you/your insurance can afford them because you never know when something might pop up, like it did in my case. Staying poactive is a must for us non-smoking smokers (wait ,,, does that make sense???

That's good news Reci I hope you continue to handle this that well with the future treatments. It's been two years since my last scan. Your situation gave me the push I needed to schedule a lung scan, and with tremendous fear of the outcome! They read it yesterday and it came back clear thank goodness.

Geaux Saints.... maybe this year? I am of the era when living in the south we went to the games with paper bags just in case. I have 2 teams now, Saints from the heart and Seahawks since I am here.

Thank you all for the kind words. I am truly trying. I threw myself into some projects cause I relapsed on alcohol and weed but I'm a week sober now. I did end up getting nicotine gum to help with cravings. But I will not take another puff. 5:30 tomorrow I will be 24 hours smoke free I will def let you know. Again thank you all it means a lot to know I have support here.
