My Daughter and Partner are having a 6 months time out here in the UK..

They have lived in Oz for 36 years ..

We are so excited about having a good chunk of time together ..

Ohh I thought you were going to Australia, but that is wonderful that you daughter and her partner are coming to visit you for 6 months!!  That is great!  Enjoy it all!

I retired today

Do all the stuff you have wanted to do

But didn’t have the time 🐸

I retired at the start of the year and other than having to develop a new morning routine, it's been great. Enjoy yourself BAT!

Retirement is great. No more deadlines and it's only YOU that now decides when to wake up in the morning as well as a whole bunch of other stuff in life. Enjoy it to the max 🎉🎆

“Will you lose your feeling of self worth now that you don’t work?”

“Is you wife going to kill you now your home every day?”

“What will you find to do with all that time, you’ll get bored?”

All these types of questions have a common thread…. They come from people that are not retired…. Funny about that

Thank you all. I will miss driving trains a little but I will not miss being on call 24/7. Now I'm just happy being a passenger on the Q-Train 😎
