Buy I must say when things like this happen, after the initial disappointment, the belief I hold that everything happens for a reason and even though you'll likely not ever know the reason since it won't happen on the original date, acceptance of reality brings peace. For me. Just thought I share that for whatever it's worth.
March 13, 20188 yr Doreen, I'm not board certified, but I did take the mandatory wilderness first aid courses back when I was guiding rafts. I can perform CPR. Make splints and slings. Tie off a tourniquet. I'm pretty handy with tape and gauze. I realize none of that is going to help with your gallbladder, but it would be a distraction. Might even be fun.

March 13, 20188 yr Well, I did something crazy. I did some investigation and found out your doctor is a man. Yes, because men have a higher likelihood of canceling dates. Usually when their pesky wives are going to be home. But to be sure, I went ahead and called a reputable psychic from the TV. Some fraud psychic named Cleo. She said, "You British friend who not no more smoke suppose have gall bladder remove the other day right?" I was amazed she knew that and said, "YES! But the doc canceled!" She said "I know you friend doctor a man. Tarot card show schlong". Yep, Cleo know!
March 15, 20188 yr Awww...that’s a shame it was postponed Doreen ? But the 23rd is coming up fast. Hope your daughter is able to still look after her Dad for you....it’s such a disappointment and a worry for Caregivers when surgeries are bumped like this ? If they are doing the stab wound method, despite how it sounds it’s far less invasive than the old way, for sure! Faster recovery time, less pain. Things DO have a way of working out ??
