I have a friend who is addicted.

Featured Replies

Just like all the time. She has been for years. Evidence of it everywhere. Does it before a meal, after, DURING...

While in the car (when i drive) she feeds that nasty habit. Last thing before bed, first thing in the morning. Sometimes has to "step away" if we are out eating to feed that disgusting habit. Cannot wait for breaks at work so she can feed the addiction.  I really think it is effecting her quality of life. How does a caring friend help someone who is hooked on facebook so bad?

WHAT? Why you all lookin at me like that for? What habit did you THINK I was talking about? :D

I quit both so, I'm good :15_yum:

I was thinking hands in pants. Either way trick is bandaids on the thumbs. Stops everything by screwing up grip.

Yeah i also quit facebook. Too many windows lickers and stupid stuff.

Yep- from its inception, vowed never to touch Facecrack. Have been true to that promise and glad not to be in that world.

Mentioning doing it before dinner, after, DURING... That alone would give the impression it would be "hands in pants".

Bakon - if the flu I am suffering does not kill me, your jokes will :D

I read an article recently where one of the co-founders of Facebook talked about how since its inception, Facebook has looked for ways to use psychological tactics to become more consuming and addictive.  He spoke about how they created a "social validation feedback loop."  "How do we consume as much of your time and conscious attention as possible?"

I say: NOFPE!  (Not One Facebook Post Ever)

Boo, the thing is, yeah I get on there once in a while but it is very boring. I mean for any given person, they post basically the same thing non-stop.

I use Face Book on and off mostly to share photos now you will often find my face in a book.... LOL made myself laugh I am a book addict... read every chance I can get.

Crikey I can be a little guilty of that addiction. I am on facebook most days. I do draw the line at not using it out in company though. Hmmm got me thinking now....
