  • Had my ultrasound today. :) The baby is perfect! Two legs, two arms, a strong heartbeat, and very active. :D She/he is due November 16th!

  • Thank you so much!   I saw my obstetrician today. She almost gave me a panic attack! She couldn't find the heartbeat at first and was saying how she might have to send me to ultrasound. No, th

  • Baby update!   I saw my obstetrician today. I'm 19 weeks. :) I ended up having an impromptu ultrasound. I had called earlier to check, but the receptionist told me I just had a regular check-up. Tur

Thanks guys! Every day is an adventure. Yesterday I was craving egg rolls dipped in ketchup, lol. I have an appointment on Thursday to start prenatal care and I am so nervous! Hopefully everything will go well and I will get to see an OB soon.

I think you know how it happened Chrispy, lol.

Thanks Wendy!

Aww don't be nervous sweetheart. It is a fraught time for a mama for sure but also fabulous. Sending you calming vibes. What's meant to be will be and clearly you were meant to be pregnant :) x

keep us all updated :good:

I don't really "know" you at all but HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on your amazing pregnancy and I think Marti has it right ..."what's meant to be, will be"! I believe everything happens for a reason and you and your hubby deserve this. My best wishes!

Thank you Karen! :)

Doctor's appointment went well. He confirmed that I'm about 6 weeks along. He took my blood pressure, weight, and checked my heart/lungs. I started taking a prenatal vitamin yesterday and I am waiting for the obstetrician to call me. I have lost another 2-3 pounds since finding out I was pregnant. Don't ask me how I'm losing weight, but that's totally fine with me.

I didn't have egg rolls, but I ended up dipping chicken into ketchup yesterday. I don't know if it's just my pregnancy talking, but it tasted sooo good.

Thank you Doreen! <3

Coming up to 8 weeks now. :) I still haven't heard from my obstetrician, so I'm going to call my family doctor on Monday to make sure he referred me. I'm pretty sure I should have had an ultrasound by now.

Thank you Doreen! <3

I'm not sure how it works in Canada, but in the UK our first ones are usually at 12 weeks, and then the next at 20 (from memory). I wouldn't be surprised if you have them more often over there, because 2 never seemed like enough to me!

Let us know how you get on!

I think 12 weeks is the standard here as well. I have an obstetrician appointment tomorrow, but I'm not sure if they will be performing an ultrasound then. I hope so, but I would think they'd tell me. I have no idea though, lol. Hopefully everything goes well tomorrow though and the OB answers my questions.

Somehow I missed this when it was first posted last month...

CONGRATS!!!!!

You appear to have made a lot of good ,healthy choices that are really paying off. Way to go!

Thank you! <3 I go in for my first ultrasound on Thursday. I'm hoping the further I am along, the less tired I'll feel. I am absolutely exhausted.

Take good care of yourself!  So very excited for you, and hoping your energy returns, soon.

Tasha told me that she had more energy and felt better after 14 weeks :good:

It's going so fast!

Thank you so much Nancy! Oh, that's awesome to hear Ross. I sure hope so, lol. My house is a disaster.

Also, tiny baby bump. It's not much, but definitely there. :D
