June 23, 201610 yr Author Baby update! I saw my obstetrician today. I'm 19 weeks. :) I ended up having an impromptu ultrasound. I had called earlier to check, but the receptionist told me I just had a regular check-up. Turns out, I was supposed to get an ultrasound done. Thankfully the ultrasound clinic is right beside my OB so they were able to slot me. I had an anatomy scan and because the results were somewhat inconclusive, I have to go again in 10 days. Baby seems to be doing well though! The heart looks great and I was able to see all of the chambers. 165 BPM. We were trying to figure out the gender, but the baby was insistent on being curled up in a fetal position with its legs crossed. However, the technician did see a penis! She is not saying boy for sure because she wasn't able to get a clear shot, but she is very certain my baby is a boy. Movement has started. I can feel little flutters. Some days more so than others. I can't tell you how much I love this little human. I can't stop looking at him! I will keep you all updated in 10 days. :)

I know ultrasounds are not always accurate and baby was determined not to show his or her junk yesterday, so I'm excited to see what the ultrasound technician says on the 4th. Regardless of gender though, I love this baby so much. :wub: I honestly never thought this would happen for us. Hugs! Thank you so much for your support. xxxx

July 4, 201610 yr Author Hey everyone! Here's another baby update: I saw my obstetrician today and had my full anatomy scan done. The baby seems to be doing well. However, I have to go back in for another scan in 4 weeks because they can't seem to get a clear shot of the spine. My obstetrician believes the spine is fine based on other tests they've done, but she really wants to make sure everything is a-okay. Not going to complain about this because any excuse to see my baby is fine by me! So... the ultrasound technician was able to confirm gender. I'm happy to say that in November, I will be having a baby... *drum roll please* BOY!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
July 5, 201610 yr Author How are you feeling Beautiful Mommy ? You two are looking wonderful ! I'm feeling pretty good! Very tired, but mostly because we have started looking at houses. :) I just had a 4-day weekend, so that was nice. I was able to relax a little bit before heading back to work tomorrow.

July 5, 201610 yr Congrats Leanna... No need for ultrasounds to determine sex though.... :) ;) You didn't look like you had yourself a "girl" baby bump... And since that's the only thing familiar to me, by default, it HAD to be a "boy" bump. :D ... (It COULD have been a boy, AND girl bump though...not familiar with that either....lol) Take care of that little one, and enjoy to process. It's priceless!
July 16, 201610 yr Author Thanks everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. I have an obstetrician appointment coming up on Monday that I am very nervous about. They found something not to great with my blood work, so I'm fretting a bit. Fingers crossed that it's nothing serious! Here's my 22 week baby bump. :) My belly button is starting to pop.
