Driving while texting, putting on make up, talking with your hands, looking at phone, eating or anything else taking away your concentration....someday you will pay for not watching the road....something will happen right in front of you and you wont react....put the stuff down, grab the f-ing wheel and look out the windows....watch the other cars, count people picking nose...but pay attention....

Tired of waiting at green light for person in front to look up from phone....I blow the horn...long...embarrassing long..even when they start moving for a few more seconds...so everyone sees the moron in front and the gap because they weren't looking....

when did everyone get so dam important they have to always be talking to someone else...drive dam it...

for the record I wrote two texting and driving citations today...and will writer 100 if I see 100....no warning there...hard to prove in PA...have to be actually texting and moving...ok to look up phone number and dial while driving....make any sense? how do I prove it was a text and not looking up phone...watch several minutes...make sure they never talk...have to talk to be calling right????still hard to find, write and prove...

stupid people-----thanks for the laugh    did you really think I could get you a refund by you making a police report because you bought a I-phone off a person you only know his phone number..and only want your money back because he replaced the screen and one, only one, function doesn't work...."I will make a police report on this...they will find the person and make them fix by discounted used iphone or put the person in jail..." Moron

What beach?

I was almost run off the road by a person texting this week...morons, indeed.

Texting and driving is one of my biggest pet peeves. I wish I could write tickets. I would be like " Text This! ".

You going to beach this year?

I saw that

You get out the wrong side, grumpy pants

I remember when I used to get mentioned in porkie's bizarre rants.

Like hell did I tell him, keep quiet and wait for the ceasefire

Is it not a offence to use your mobile phone while driving ?

We get a fine here in the UK if caught...of course you have to get caught...

Most States ban texting but some allow talking.

I don't even like texting when I'm not driving....

Ooh, in UK, if you're seen even holding your phone, that's enough 'using handheld device whilst driving'. And you don't have to prove much. Just that the officer saw them holding a mobile phone. £100 fine and 3 points on your licence. (Or a 3 hour re-education course)

Glad I don't live by cheesy rider!

He'd find something to write me up for!

Hard to text on a motorcycle.

Settle down. This isn't going away anytime soon. I travel in PA daily and see people starring at their phone more than not. That's the catch. It's so hard to prove what they are doing. I believe a lot are also just browsing the internet. What then? Another ticket?

My sister got stopped last month in Bethel. Cop asked the old, Do you know why I pulled you over? She said, I'm sure you thought I was texting officer, but I was not. My son just had a food reaction and I was trying to hurry & find his pediatricians number on the internet. He let her go with a warning. Now I can tell you this much... my nephew does not have any known food allergies and he was at karate practice. Hey, whatever works right?

Yes, It is getting worse but saying "I'll write 100 more tickets" for something you really can't prove seems like a bit of a quota-getter.

I would rather smack them with a wiffle ball bat but that isn't allowed. Old time cop told me that. We should pull people over, whack them with a bat and let them go. Learn not to be an assface quicker than a fine. Same cop had some other advise but one of my favorites was women should only have a license to drive men to the bar....

As for being lied to by a woman, I would never ever fall for that.

Pa is full of morons. So we vote morons into law makers who then write moron laws. As a dumb cop I only can use what's on the books. As for quota, I am old cop so I write 2 a month usually. It's not my job as I see it. My job is to put my foot up the young guys ass when they don't do what's right. But a few things never get a break, suspended drivers and texting. I will even give a warning for a kid riding on the roof, got to learn what a motorcycle feels like somehow....
