Quick Thought Request

Featured Replies

Don't wanna be a Dionne-Downer on Halloween, so I'll keep this short and sweet.

My dog got out about two hours ago.  He is super smart and tough, but there are lots of coyotes out here, and he has a bad leg, and it's kinda chilly out tonight.

If you all could give a quick shout out and tell him to come home, we'd super appreciate it.

He has gotten out during the day and stays pretty close to home.  And, he goes out at night in our yard too.  He has scared off a few snakes, a racoon and a porcupine (with a few quills to the nose), but he has never gotten out of the yard at night.

We are worried about the coyotes.  We have heard them very nearby in the wee hours of the night.  :(   His name is Rocky. He is an awesome dog, and we love him.  :)

My hubby has been out all night walking around looking for him.  :(

Thanks.

Thoughts for Rocky going your way.

Sending thoughts that Rocky will be home shortly!

You don't know what a sticker is????

It's a pokey thing from plants that gets stuck in fur or in your socks.  I'm not sure how to explain it.  I tried to copy a picture, but it wouldn't let me copy it.  Like a thorn, but they fall off plants.

If we are thinking of the same thing, we call them burrs....and they look like this...so sticky and hard to get rid of...

Oh I thought they were those sticky backs as we call them, big long green things that stick to everything, kids are always chucking them all over each other and me!!!!

Nancy's right, burrs are one kind of stickers, here's another type.. Action, do you not have these evil prickly things in the UK?

Plenty of Burrs here...

Good to see I'm right on the ball again....

Let me catch up...

Oh - I hope Rocky comes home soon.......(())

He's back! Yay!

Honestly - Im going to have to brush up on my surveillance of the train. It's all getting too fast for me!!

Yes, Sue, the "sticky things" we had as kids were called burrdocks. My brother thought it was very funny to throw burrdocks at my  hair. Wow! Did it ever hurt to get the burrdocks out. I think that was one time my mother really put her foot down with my brother.

Thanks for the explanations, guys! I think I would call them burr's too. Sue, I remember those! Used to throw them like darts when I was a nipper at school!

Petra, your dog is so handsome!

Thanks, Action!  He is way more awesome than I knew a dog could be.  :)  You are handsome too. :)
