Facing eye surgery

Featured Replies

Went to the eye dr about that cataract I've had for almost 4 yrs, she said my reg. dr. should of helped me get it fix when it was easy now its so thick she couldn't see thru it so who knows if after the surgery I'll be able to see again with my right eye-if not I'll get a pirates patch.

Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way - although I am sure you could rock the patch look !!

Oh no, I'm so sorry Beth... Why on earth didn't your regular doctor do something while it wasn't so bad?!

Wow beth i cannot believe they letthat slip for 4 years :( buti do know loads of people who had the surgery and their lives and sight have been better for it

i also think you will make a great pirate ;) but hoping for better eyesight for you x

Beth, so sorry your doctor let it go so long...will pray for wonderful results.

Beth, hope surgery can correct your eye!  Sending prayers!

This infuriates me.  :treaten: I am so sorry that you had an irresponsible asshat for a doctor and I certainly hope that the surgery works out with the best outcome.

Sounds scary Beth....sending prayers.

Though - there is something kind of cool about the Eyepatch too....

Most important thing - you are moving forward.

praying for you beth    may god bless you  in so many ways you cant count them all    (((((((((beth))))))))

That's disgraceful Beth, bloody incompetent doctor, that should not have been left to get soo bad, please god all will go great and you will be brand new afterwards, that dope of a doctor needs a kick up the arse x x

wishing you luck on your cataract surgery(I work with the eye surgeons as I am on the neuro/ent/eye team) Seen lots of cataracts even ones that were really thick hopefully they will restore your sight

I figure if I have to wear an eye patch I can look like the Gov. from The Walking Dead. :D

Beth, cataract surgery has improved so much in recent years that the overwhelming probability is that your sight will be just fine after the surgery. Frankly, I don't know who you should be more angry with-- the doctor who didn't treat the cataract for 4 years or this one who needlessly scared the bejeezes out of you. She might be a good eye surgeon but she has the sensitivity of a boulder.

I hope your eyesight returns to that rebellious eye.

Damn those quacks and praise those healers.

I was going to say this but didn't want to seem insensitive ... lol :D Gov. Beth!!
