1 more sleep.....but especially for Halloween here's a song for All Saints Eve...

It's here.... November....which is Aus Music Month.... so, for the month I  will be posting an Aussie song or a song by an Aussie artist each day....there is so much more to Aussie music than ACDC, the Wiggles and Kylie Minogue....Oh and for any of you Kiwi, Scottish and Pommy punters out there, the rules are simple, doesn't matter if they were born at yours, if they grow up here or moved here to establish themselves then they are Aussies...not our fault they didn't get great till they came here.

So lets kick things off with The Seekers ....and as a bonus the Auslan (Australian Sign Language) version...

G'day...and such.

I heard this song on Willie's Roadhouse over the weekend.  And I'm almost positive that Olivia Newton-John is Australian...almost positive.

@Boo we claim her as ours.... so sticking with the country theme.. here's a song that is not only one of my guilty pleasures but every time I hear it makes me think of our @Cbdave and ergo all you Quit Train mob.... the very great Slim Dusty...

Oh, and in honour of the great Aussie gambling game let's give this month of pleasure a new rule...it's two-up tuesdees, whe you get twofer the price if 1....  Smoke Dawson....

Well that does it...seems we've just taken a side trip and turned week 1 of Aus Music Month into the country music week....not really my thing but reckon I can pull another 6 out.

Oright...to be honest I'm not much into the Aus country music scene...so unless it crossed into mainstream or blues or pub rock chances are I don't know it.... so I asked Bill, me dad's old neighbour who has played at Tamworth and he suggested this for some older stuff...

I'm hoping no one is compiling a psychological profile on me based on what I'm listening to.  Those old "Vinyl Wastelands" compilations filled with country and rockabilly songs about violence, insanity, convicts, whores, etc., etc..

I just like the songs is all.

So...today's Aus Music Month contribution is .... the Wolfe Bros.... probably should saved this for Rememberance day on Wednesdee but it's going here.... Hey Brother

@BAT I do not now who that was or the name of the song but it was outstanding!  All I heard was the voice and the piano.  It did not need anything else, JUST PERFECT!

Song by The Verve sung by Faces On Film. .... I agree, very touching song.

Thanks for letting me know.  That is one for calming and relaxing or if you are girl would facilitate a good cry when you need it.

Thought this would be ripper for a Sundee.... Archie Roach and Emma Donovan....

@notsmokinjo I am not going to listen to this tonight, I know I would collapse in tears just from the title alone.  I will get back to you, it is almost 3 in the morning here and I am struggling with some stuff.

G’day

Amazing ….. bloody ripper
