Back at day 1 again

Featured Replies

Hi QT family. I’m on day one after relapsing for six months. I had a really good quit and thought I would never go back but here I am. I already feel the anxiety and shakes for it being day 1. But I’m determined that this time will be for good. My throat hurts bad and I was feeling the physical effects more and more each day. Happy to be back and I’m going to try and make this happen again.

Glad you are back!

I hope you stick around for at least a year.

I think giving and receiving support is an important part of your success.

Glad you are ready for your sticky quit🙂!!

Welcome back SOS, sorry to read you relapsed. I picked a holiday weekend for my forever quit too so let's get this done this time. Like beazel said, stick close for a full year. This will help you through most of the triggers you may face during any given year.

Thanks to you both. I remember it made a big difference staying close

last time. I commit to trying my best every day. I really want this.

Welcome back Sos,

You've gone through this before so you know what to expect. So, let's commit and get this thing done. I'm pretty sure we still have your seat open and waiting for you.

Hi Mac. Thank you. It feels good to be back again. I’m disappointed in myself because I had done so well and gotten through the tough days but I can do it again.

Welcome back ..

Great to see your ready now for this to be your last quit ....

Learn by your mistake ..so it won't happen again ....

Sorry to hear of your relapse Sos77. I would certainly not want to have to drag myself through the early days of quitting again but as you said; here you are so the best thing you can do is to remember all the tools that worker for you during your earlier quit and in particular, keep in mind the circumstances that allowed you to relapse and make sure you don't follow that path again somewhere down the road.

Welcome back. I am on day one also after a relapse. You can do this

Sorry to hear you relapsed, but you can do this.  I am on Day 12, and I posted a lot on Day 1 about how I was doing throughout the day, and it helped a lot.  It sounds like your body is sick of the cigarettes, so do this act of quitting as an act of self-care for yourself.  You can do it!  Let us know how you are getting on throughout the day.

Linda, Good luck to you, too!  I'm really rooting for you!  You can do this!

Welcome back @Sos77!  Hope this will be your forever quit.  😊

@Sos77so thankful you realized your mistake and jumped right back on the train.  You can do this again!
