I totally agree as well, people who have prejudices like this need serious help, no-one is in control of their sexual preferences.  I have many gay friends in my life and the comments and looks they get sometimes beggars belief, it boils my blood WTF has it go to do with them.

We have friends they are very old now, but they were the first gay couple to get legally married in Holland ... we love them to bits !

The thing is. Even if it is a choice. Who cares!? What difference does it make?!

I have a gay brother and a gay uncle, so I get pretty bitchy when someone tells me how being gay is so wrong.

I think he's saying that it doesn't have to be flaunted in front of everyone. He can "accept" it, to each his own, but he doesn't want to be forced to see it.

 

I have gay family members and one of them acts silly about it. I understand where he's coming from. It sometimes can be very hard to even be with this person cause he's so busy trying to show how gay he is that he can't focus on anything else.

 

Edited to add: the other one that is gay, one could never tell by the way that they carry themselves unles they were told. He acts like a normal human being that just happens to be gay. I can be around him and carry on a normal conversation

FYI, if this thread turns into a debate about religion, sexual orientation or politics it will get locked.  A quit smoking support community is not the place as there are thousands of forums on the internet dedicated to these topics.  I would prefer that these topics not even be brought up here as they have nothing to do with why this forum was created, why it exists and what will drive it forward.
