I can see through drapes that the sun is rising (they turn a lovely yellow/orange color) at sunrise. That means we have survived another day without smoking. How are you feeling? Is you fever gone and the aches and pain? I must admit that I have had a bunch of stuff delivered so I dont have to go out. I was planning on going to the pharmacy today for a flu and shingles vaccination but I think I will wait until tomorrow. K

Thanks Linda, I needed that! I am so glad someone is out there, I will probably crash soon after being up all night. Just took some medication that may make me sleepy but I am not counting on it. Hope you rested well last night. I have been missing my thought for the day. It really does help to keep me positive. I have been struggling with cravings the last few days and need people like you to keep me strong. I have some dates coming up for people I have lost, birthdays and death days. I think that is playing into the sleep and craving thing. K

Just another thought, Having one of those nights I can't sleep so I will be sick tomorrow with a migraine. Wish Linda was up with some soothing words of relaxation. I will just have to wait. I wish (NOT) that I had enough strength to go buy smokes. Sorry for that one, just having a bad day/night that makes the craves creep up. I really want that feeling to go away. I have been able to handle it well but the last few days have been hard. Just stupid to think that something I did for 40 years would go away without any problems. I will keep on with my quit because I do not have a choice. I think it would be easy if I was not alone in my head all the time. Just have to work thru it... K

Like Ace said drink plenty of fluid, don't forget to eat which can be hard if you don't feel well. I hope you have friends or family near that can drop off care packages. Delivery services are available for so much if you need it. I used grocery delivery when I was recovering from hip replacement and it was great. Keep us updated and I hope it will just be a mild case. K
  8. I like that! Sometimes all you need is human face to face contact. Good for the soul

Linda, so glad you are feeling better! If you keep feeling bad go see the doctor, may not be Covid but blood work might find you have a low vitamin D or B which could cause fatigue. K

  15. I had read that things were getting bad down under. Just try to stay busy and not let the quarantine get to you. Not so much a bad thing, you can't go out for smokes, plus I read they are very expensive. You will be rich in health and wealth!! K

Linda, I am sorry you are feeling bad, the struggle is real. Just try to stay busy, it will help a lot. I have cleaned out all the closests, dressers. fridges, bathrooms. Just that will keep your mind occupied. I have also joined a survey site, keeps me busy and can earn money or gift cards. Sorry to say my attention has been focused on the Covid issue. I really feel like we will in the US and my state Texas, will have another shut down. I feel stupid but have been busy stock piling for a couple of months of quarantine. We have all learned that just being vaccinated will not keep you safe. Smoking is the last thing I have on my mind, just want to make sure I have everything I need (and my pups) so my son won't have to worry about me. I worry about them, out there in the work force. Their jobs have a lot of public contact, and my grandson just went back to school this week. You will get thru it because you have helped other people get through it. I will keep you in my thoughts! K
  17. Just checking in, our cases here are growing. How is everyone else doing? K
  18. I guess I am doing well did not know it was already 2 months. I guess that is the advantage of not thinking about it, if you don't know how long it has been it is something you do not need. Thanks for all your support and companionship. K
  19. This is the only part of pet parenthood I don't like. I can't just get up and go if I want. They freak out when I just go to the store. The cost of boarding them and thinking about how scared they would be keeps me from going anywhere. Silly but true, let's face it, I could not leave my child and I would not want that for my dogs. My son took my big bear to his house after my hip replacement so he would not knock me down, he was so happy to come home and be with the littles again.
  20. have not started a ticker yet, do not want to focus on the numbers. I know my bank account is happy and my kid appreciates this, Momma don't need new shoes but she can give the kid things. I can't it with me but I can spoil when I want to! K Plus I can take Jillar and Linda to a grab bar, bar.

  24. Mommabear Only 7 weeks into my quit but is getting easier everyday. The craves come when I get stressed or have anxiety. I just try away from things or people that upset me. We can do this! K
  25. Crap. I hate technology. They call them smart phones but I am not smart enough to use one! I just got a cheap little flip phone for emergencies and can't get the darn thing activated, my son could not do it either.... lord just call me on the home phone/land line. If you see an old lady lying on the side of the road please call 911 K
