  1. Nice to hear from you @jillar I'm really gutted nobody but you replied. I spent a whole week encouraging my new man to join here. Told him how blown away he would be by all the messages and support I would get for getting past five months and nothing lol. Hope you're well Jillar and keeping happy xxx
  2. I popped on to reply to anyone who had said hello but nobody had Take good care of yourselves everyone. I'll be guarding my quit wherever I am x
  3. Thanks so much for thinking of me Reci and thank you everyone for your lovely good wishes. I am only here for the weekend so won't be back after Monday. Lots has changed. I'm still completely smoke free and loving it. I have met a new man and we have become inseperable. He stopped me for a dodgy light, came round that night on the pretence of checking he gave me my licence back and the rest as they say is history. Seems as though not smoking has changed my whole life. I look younger, I have grown in confidence as I'm not self conscious about how I smell and I've always got a smile. I haven't seen that angry smoker I used to be for over 5 months. I'm very calm and chilled Ike I used to be as child. I don't have enough time to catch up with all the posts so I will say congratulations to everyone who is on this journey. Without this forum I would never have quit. The people here are truly amazing and I thank you all x
  4. In a couple of days I will be 3 months quit. I am doing my celebration thread now as I am not sure when I will be visiting the forum again as I am moving home. So I'm clinking my glass and making a little speech. Firstly I just want to thank ALL of you for supporting me through this quit. I do however want to give enormous thanks to the people who have been with me from the start of this journey. Those of you who found the patience to keep willing me on through so many failed attempts. Secondly I am pleased to say that I am smoke free and now nicotine free Until next time - Love you all xxxxxx
  5. @Doreensfree I too want to send you love and good thoughts X x x

    when will i feel good

This made me laugh so much because it is just typical smoker thinking. Having a heart attack and switching to organic food was my favourite lol. You are so right in that the real test is when you feel better. I didn't smoke for a week once bed ridden with a cold. When I recovered it was only a matter of time (I'm talking 2 hours max) before I forgot how I'd been feeling and was back to smoking. My advice is to reach out here when you feel at your weakest. That is when you find out how powerful this place is.
  7. Nice to meet you Richard and good luck on your quit journey x
  8. Congratulations on your quit. I have taken baths every night for the last 50 plus years. Not sure why you think having a daily bath is a problem? Is there something I don't know lol. I bought really expensive bath products and body lotions like Estée Lauder, gucci etc when I quit. I smelt so good that I wouldn't have wanted to cover that smell with smoke. I also bought strong washing liquid and softener for my clothes. Smelling nice was a big part of why I never lit up.
  9. This should get the dumbest idea award. Unless they actually ban smoking then what exactly have they achieved. Smokers will just stock up or drive to get a pack. It will never stop kids smoking!
  10. Martian thank you for this. It's a reminder that smoking is responsible for problems we don't even think about. I'm sorry to hear you're suffering and hope you get it all sorted quickly x
  11. Congratulations on 3 years quit Jillar. Just want to thank you for everything you do for the forum. You're advice is always welcome and you really are a very big part of this place. I hope you spoil yourself today - you really deserve it x x x
  12. Jillar you are on fire. Great result on both parts x
  13. This thread was a big trigger for me - so **"" triggers!!!
  14. Wondering why so many people log in but don't post??
  15. I got an E-Mail on my last pm - it always goes to my junk mail for some reason. I also have the option under notification to receive it or not. Edited to say - the options on E-Mail notification is permanently ticked so can't actually untick it now
  16. That's a real blast from the past Reci. You best book that ticket
  17. Wondering why American programmes insist on doing really weird British accents. WE DONT TALK LIKE THAT lol. It's like America watched a really bad 1950's British film once and think that's how we talk.
  18. An amazing Scottish singer. This song got me hooked on him Someone You Loved By Lewis Capaldi I can't put the song up on my phone but look it up - you'll love it
  19. Thinking of all they did
  20. If someone doesn't post it doesn't necessarily mean something bad has happened. Maybe his life just got amazing

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
