  2. "I also realized last month how many quit symptoms I had and had forgotten about. Isn't the human brain a wonderful tool! It almost feels like I never smoked at all to me." This is SO true ! I am forgetting so completely and so fast! Your Journey with your new business is very exciting, Marti. Congratulations on EVERYTHING.

  5. Welcome John. Learn about your addiction. Learn as much as you can. Education is an essential component to a successful quit. So, read and watch the vids, post often, ask questions, tell stories, play word and counting games for fun and distraction. Tell your story for yourself and for those following you. You will love the freedom and strength quitting will bring to you, Love, S Here are some things that helped us during our first days nicotine free
  6. adding 7,940 mind boggling amount of smokes total 192,403
  7. I knew I wasn't looking deep enough. I wasn't skeered until my last hurdle ! Look what I found in my blog, "Now, at Ten months and change, craves are strange little thought bubbles that don't belong to me, EXCEPT when I try to paint. That is what I 'do' and it is being a real bugger. What if I can't paint without that junk ? It feels so weird to hold a brush without a smoke. Plenty of Fear (oh, JOY) to shut down on this last (or current) no-smoking snafu. I will buck up, quit my special snowflake whining and just get on with it FGS. This week, I will. Yep, this week." and with encouragement from y'all, that week passed and by three weeks fear was a distant memory. Amazing how quickly I forgot ! Love that. S (edited to add) If I hadn't been able to jump that hurdle I would have gone back to smoking but, by that time it was just breaking a silly habit and the my quit had a life of it's own.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
