  2. Congratulations on 6 months smoke free, Angeleek! Great job.
  3. Nope!
  4. Yes, please let us know how you are doing, darcy. I'm sorry you are struggling but nothing is worth throwing away your quit.
  5. Congratulations on your first week smoke free, Up In Smoke. Keep up the great work!
  6. Welcome to our site, Linda. I'm sorry you relapsed but it is good that you are quitting again. I had a number of short quits I relapsed from before quitting for good. Learning about nicotine addiction and reaching out for support at a quit site similar to this one is what helped me quit for good and I'm sure it could help you too. If you haven't already read this post, click the link below for some good tips for using this site to help you in your quit. Quitting smoking can be challenging but it is definitely rewarding. Life as a non-smoker is worth any early struggles. Welcome again. It is good to have you here.
  7. NOPE - Smoking sucks!
  8. I'm sorry you are struggling but you did a great thing by posting and SOS instead of smoking. You have a great quit going and, just as Cristobal's post that Sazerac shared stated, you cannot let life's events dictate whether you smoke or not. Your quit is extremely important and you must protect it no matter what life throws your way. Great job in keeping your quit. You are a nonsmoker and do not need the filth of smoking in your life.
  9. Nope!
  10. I've heard those tests are not fun. Best wishes with your surgery an I'm glad you are going into this nicotine free. Everything is better nicotine free.
  11. That's awesome, Koder! Congratulations!
  12. Congratulations on 8 years smoke free, Babs! That is awesome!
  13. NOPE, if you smoke anywhere, you will bring it back. You (and the rest of us here on this site) are nicotine addicts. They key is to put smoking (and other nicotine use) behind you once and for all. Things will get better with time and, at some point, you will no longer have to fight cravings like this. You are doing great with 3 weeks smoke free and these first few days/weeks really are the toughest time. It would be a shame to throw that away with a cigarette. Keep the quit. You will be glad you did.
  14. You are doing a great thing by quitting smoking, Up In Smoke. The early struggles you may feel are worth it because things get a lot better with time. Commit to NOPE (Not One Puff Ever), even if it is one day at a time, one hour at a time, etc. Things to get much better.
  15. ^^^^ I love Cowboy Junkies.
  16. NOPE!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
