  1. NOPE - Smoking sucks!
  2. Quitting smoking is a great thing to do. I smoked for 20 years and started to realize how truly bad it was over the last few years. I didn't think I could quit but that was far from the truth. Quitting smoking is very doable and is a huge change that will lead to a better life. Educating yourself about nicotine addiction is a big key to defeating this addiction. Support from fellow quitters also helps out in a big way. You can get both at this website. Welcome to our site. You are doing an awesome thing in quitting smoking.
  3. Smoking will only make things worse. Don't light up. Fight through this crave and your quit will be stronger.
  4. NOPE!
  5. Excellent work, Steven. I agree with @catlover Keeping yourself occupied and distracted early on is a great thing to do when quitting. You are doing great.
  6. Congratulations on 7 years smoke free, Doreen. Celebrate big today!
  7. Nope
  8. I've posted these songs and videos before but I think they're awesome so here is a re-post.
  9. You are doing the right thing, Steven. Keep up the great work!

  11. Smoking will not make anything better. It will only make things worse. Nothing good comes from smoking. It is all bad. You are doing great and the feelings you are having are normal for someone who smoked for years and is putting that horrible addiction behind them. You did a great thing by posting about how you are feeling. Just do NOT light up. That is the key.
  12. I'm not sure how to reset your ticker for your phone. I was never able to see tickers on my phone but I do see them on my laptop. The most important thing is that both you and Warbelian are quitting again. Quitting and relapsing over and over again is a hell of a painful cycle to go through. I did that too. It is best to put smoking behind you once and for all. There is a lot of support and knowledge here. Please take advantage of it and absolutely post an SOS before you light up another cigarette. BKP is right, your life is at stake here.
  13. The same with me. I made multiple attempts but finally did quit for good and do not regret it one bit. It can be quite rough early on but you are doing the right thing. Just keep taking it one day, hour, minute, at a time and it will get better. Your early struggles are definitely worth a smoke free life long term.
  14. Great job, Mac. 4 months quit is awesome and you are doing a lot to help others. Celebrate today.
  15. Congratulations Mee! 2 years smoke free is huge and thanks for all the support that you give others in their quits.
  16. Congratulations Wee Fluffy Me! 3 years smoke free is awesome!
  17. Congratulations Michelle! You are doing great!
  18. NOPE - I don't smoke anymore.

    Isaias

The storm seems to be weakening but I'm still following it since Raleigh is in its path. It was just downgraded to a tropical storm as I posted this. Sometimes, though, strong tropical storms tend to be much bigger flood threats. And, of course, these storms can always get stronger again. Isaias is an interesting name, though. I've been amused by meteorologists pronouncing it several different ways during the same weather segment. Local news network WRAL does some pretty good hurricane coverage. https://www.wral.com/weather/hurricanes/

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
