From the ashes, sight for a new life emerges
Cool thanks for posting , I'm going to look into this . I need energy and I believe there are safe alternatives that work well . Walking helps preventing many many diseases . I have not had cataract surgery but my sister has . Her response was easy peasy and trust me she can't take a lot so it must have been pretty ok . My son has had serious eye surgeries that made me squirm thinking they'd be painful but again no pain or very minimal and drops and they saved his sight . Oh my friend has catact surgery too k zero problems , grateful she had it . Hope all goes well . See you back here soon . Let us know how it goes . Congrats on your quit .

Second vaccine
Everyone's immune stystem works differently so understandable that reactions may be different as well . We are all unique .I really had no reaction my 1st dose or second dose and hopefully those little warriors will do their job if I need them. Pfizer here is available to 12 years old and up now . We are still as close to lockdown as we can be without full lock down three more weeks when it will be re evaluated . My second dose should be as effective as it will be , next week . Two weeks post ) It is a relief . Still keeping all in thought for those trying to get their shots . Grateful for all those front line workers giving them day after day , hour after hour ,. It's pretty smooth going here once you get an appointment . Continue to be safe everyone . Thinking of every country battling this . It's heart breaking .

Daily exercise log for everyone :)
2 40 min walks lol one in each direction .. took weights with me this time , little harder work out lol . I didn't realize how much harder , so it goes without saying less weight is easier to carry around . I want to lose five lbs so will carry five pound weights on alternate walks for a week ( weather permitting ) .. let's see where it gets me ha . Happy gal with a one pound loss or happy with less flabby muscles lol . Not picky , but do want results .. Going to keep following all your guys lead . You all rock !

How Does A Quit Site Help ?
The more I wonder around this site , the more I like it . It's a perfect fit for a successful quit . So many good tools to access for help , education and receive support . So many areas to distract oneself from smoking or to learn from others as well as give back . So many positive and real posts from ex smokers with new and older quits to identify with . No sugar coating but completely honest testimonies , and an understanding between us , that is more than a non smoker may ever or could ever understand . I love the way it's sectioned off where you can talk about your quit in one area , educate yourself about addiction in another or get out of the smoking fixation and into just having fun with fellow members to distract yourself from smoking and get to know them . There is something for everyone . There is a place to pledge if one finds that helpful , a notary celebrations section to see your own progress and others progress ; a games section and educational videos ... well the list just goes on and on . Love it ! If you are not a computer savvy person like me , in my opinion it's easy to understand and not too hard . You can use what you need to start a quit confidently and comfortably or grow and try to learn more . What aides besides NRT aides things did you look for or are you looking for to help you be a successful quitter ? Everyone is different . I came to a quit site to quit smoking . I did not have success in groups . We are all different . Testimonies helped me a lot in the beginning and were exactly what I was looking for . They helped me to see the journey ahead would get better and that I was not alone when my days were rough . Newcomers and elders testimonies all made a difference in me keeping my quit . Games ha ... lived in games .. can't tell you how many hours I spent in games day and night . Any humour I could find I wanted and needed desperately in the beginning and it so helped . So to all you funny people out there thank you . Wish I had your gift but I'm grateful for yours . That's about all I did the first year .. my next years I really got into the education part of addiction , researching addiction , celebrations , giving back and pledging . I wished I'd done them all in the beginning in hindsight , but perhaps that was not meant to be for my success to shape . Again each of us will be different and there is no right or wrong . I stay now because I need to for my quit and want to stay for others quits . I am also getting to know people here and again who would have thought but because of covid we once again have something in common . We are in this together and together we will get through this . One day at a time . Signed Abby

Can We Have A Curse It Thread(With warnings) As sometimes I Just Wanna FFFFFFFFFFFF
Lost this thread and glad I found it cause I wanna curse shout and kick Azz. These covid restrictions are driving me to a breaking point . We are once again practically on lockdown and my kids lives matter but apparently some just don't care $&8@):;?'n! !@&/:(-.?! 😖😣😡 and with the new restrictions comes more resistance. It's all just sick! But I continue to do my part yes , I still do my part to save their azzes and their kids and their grandparents , but I'm tired of this . We have a ways to go yet I'm afraid .. This lockdown is another three weeks , but then what . If people don't stop wanting to be right It's going to get nasty here . Thanks , this thread was a brilliant idea . I'm sorry I've not been able to read the previous posts , but hope you all are doing better . This too shall pass , but I sure hope soon .. losing hope here .

Daily exercise log for everyone :)
Well this morning is slow moving . Blah ! Blah ! Every excuse in the world not to go for a walk but none that are real convincing even to myself lol so I'll get my rear in gear in 25 minutes and head out for my walk . If I would have had one slice of toast instead of two I wouldn't have to walk so far lol . Must think of that before eating more than is necessary for good physical and mental health lol . The positive is that it is a gorgeous day out . The leaves may actually fully bloom with the rain coming tomorrow . Yay !

Breakdown!!!
What will go wrong went during my quit . Like the fridge goes , so went the dishwasher , then the oven all just past the warranty date and all three at once . The cost , anger , no smokes . Frustration you bet , no smokes , inconvenience oh ya , no smokes . Got past those then the dryer heating element , the garage door and the furnace humidifier all three at once . Parts for the humidifier not made anymore what the heck , a new house by the way apparently they only last ten years lol .. parts finally found in the states a country away , a month later because of covid finally received . Still not smoking . Oh before I moved into my new house I lived in a very nice condo whose ladies bathroom flooded all into my apartment below I had just begun my quit just months in and like you smoking was not a thought . What a beautiful moment in the midst of unpleasantness . Did I tell you , I used to live in the boonies .. I want to go back lol ! I love the boonies ! The moral of the story is ex smokers remain ex smokers . Once we get a taste of the freedom we can not be moved . All kinds of reasons we smoked for in the past we don't even think twice anymore . Being free is just that . The change is real and keeps getting better . I am not surprised you got through this . You've been strong through day one . You have good insight into discerning your goal from addictions goal . Car will be fixed and not too hardly hit . Perhaps it was meant to be , perhaps if things hadn't happened the way they did you would have bought smokes . Silver lining in all of this . Enjoy your smoke free rides in the boon docks . Enjoy the fresh air and beautiful sites safely .
