    Islanders

Three countries make up Great Britain. The island known as Great Britain includes England, Scotland and Wales. This is not to be confused with the United Kingdom, which is Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It is also not to be confused with the British Isles, which refers to the two main islands of Great Britain and Ireland When Northern Ireland is included, the country then gets its full internationally recognised name of 'The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland'. confused yet lol Saying you are British or from Britain is usually used so not to offend someone or when having to complete an official document, however most people are proud of their Origins and will say they are English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish etc but then it gets complicated further as within each COUNTRY there are COUNTIES and each has its own accent, language, funny hats and traditions most people are proud of these counties within their country of birth however if like me you spoke like a hillbilly in rhyme then you would spend years erasing all evidence and accents of once being known as a ~Moonraker from Wiltshire~ https://youtu.be/5pQdzqxyx9E
  2. welcome Jack :bye: , congratulations on your quit, try not to go looking for the unpleasantness or you will surely find it, instead concentrate on all that is good that will be coming your way and the small victories, money saved and health improved, treat yourself well and the unpleasantness will fade into the distance we know it can take time but one step at a time is a good start Post and read here as much as you can, watch the videos, you are not alone here!
  3. THIS.... is how I try to live my life, mostly anyways, except bad wine, I have drank bad wine on many occasion  life has a way of trying to derail but its just a detour in my book no regrets no guilt 1 life go live it! B)

  5. COPD Blocked arteries Cancer and holding your mums hand until her last tormented breath......................THAT IS HARD! sorry to be so blunt but that`s what I was dealing with 3 days ago This Addiction is a life sucking, heart breaking, torture giving, life destroyer and I am so angry at it!!!!!!!!!! smoking has made me an orphan at 46 years old I beg and pray that if you are on the fence about quitting or struggling with your quit, do what ever you can to quit or keep your quit, if you do not, the end is not pretty for you or your loved ones. That death is what you should fear
  6. No not emicons  :P :D Emotions, those feelings we get good and bad and those I felt many times were a danger to my quit, Anger, sadness, grief even happiness You see my emotions controlled my brain, because I let them! I was often caught up in the moment whatever moment that was and sometimes it seemed pretty easy to use that moment and that emotion to throw my quit away, it could be justified right? Wrong you know what would of been harder than just dealing with that emotion or situation and that`s having to start mine or your quit all over again..... and guess what when all is said and done, whatever made your emotion spike in you is still going to be there if you smoke through it or not, but if you don`t then your quit is safe, you are healthier, have more money, smell nicer and feel good about yourself and any other reason you quit in the first place and your quit just got stronger, because you made it through. Emotion by definition is a "feeling in motion" which means its moving and will pass, so the next time your emotions are trying to get in and control your brain, remember one simple sentence that saved me many a time.............. THIS SOON WILL PASS Breath through it, walk, run, scream, shout, hit a pillow, kick the grass, drink some water, post an SOS, whatever it takes THIS SOON WILL PASS congratulations on all your quits, it is truly an awesome thing you have done :D
  7. 4 years for the lovely Fay yay :)
  8. it sure does get better and its a good time to start pushing yourself, I used to hate running but I run with all my dogs now even uphills which whilst smoking would have been a big NO NO unless an ambulance was waiting at the top for me

  10. totally dumb i say why use extra energy on swinging and bashing and then covering it up as a pedestrian accident, just tell them both there are free donuts outside and then run them both over, there must be a cops clause that its an acceptable accident in the line of duty on the way to free donuts?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
