Ah well been a bit of time since I've been on. I'll be honest, I'm best staying away and just popping in every now and again. It's what works for me, it's doing me good. I like popping in and sharing how things are going though, keeping you updated and that, it helps. Anyway since I was last in I think I have had 1 hefty night out with friends. In the past this would have been a go to for a failure and an end to my quit. As I have said in the past it feels different this time. I just don't have the feeling anymore. It feels like it's gone, the urge, it feels like it's finally been laid to bed. I hope it has, I hope it never rears it's head again. I'm wary of saying it's gone forever, I don't want to let my guard drop. I have a hatred for it now, I think thats a good thing to have, it has to be demonised. If you have pure hate for it and all it's done in the past to you and your body then that's a help in keeping that guard up. Anyway next Saturday 10/10/26 is 1 year since I last had a cigarette. I was on the lozenges for a month or so afterwards but as far as I'm concerned I set out to pack the ciggies in, they were my addiction to kick after 35 years so that day will be my celebration. I may have another for the day I packed the lozenges in but the lifelong addiction was ciggies so the 10/10/26 is my day.

  6. 11 Months is fabulous @GonSo !!!! I'm sure you're already getting excited to mark your first full year being smoke free. That's a really special anniversary to mark. You'll be filled with pride over your accomplishment; which you should be! I suppose we'd better get that cruise ship tidied up in anticipation for the upcoming Lido Deck party! (if anyone has any ideas of how to get the ship back into the water; please PM me )
  7. Hooray for @SD2026… those months are really stacking up!!

@bakon ... ya know old cobbsie @Boo is gunna take the credit for your weight lifting.
  9. Gday Yep camels take up that nitch in Aussie. Even though they are lighter than a moose they travel in mobs of a dozen or so, hard to miss them all. The surprising one to hit is the wombat. Low to the ground but weighs up to 40 kg. Like hitting a rock it ruins a cars drive train. You’re most likely to lose control and end up in a ditch or tree or on your roof. In the outback it’s no driving between dusk and dawn unless you a road train with a ruddy big bull bar.

14 years this past week. Don’t know where the 14 and 4 months worked in but none of you brainiacs caught it either. This place was never know for rocket science anyways. See some familiar faces and some new ones. All good in Bakonville Florida Chicks and sticks game get too out of control with chicks cheating,,they had to start another one. Suprised? Not me. There is some outrageous stuff on internet but the way they been counting I knew nobody would believe it. Smoking still allowed outside at some restaurants here- see the grey skin color, the droopy eyes, drool faces. It’s sad. Glad we all got off that ride. N O problems with smoking at all for me. Never want to smell or taste it. Still like my beer but working on health too. Gave up sugar pretty much, starting lifting weights few times a week and kept at it good. Same 205 lbs after a year but lost 4 inches off belly and now it doesn’t look bad to tuck in a shirt. Elbows taken a beating with that and golf. But it’s minor compared to where we all were headed with the smoking. Glad vaping wasn’t an option when I quit. Anyways I am still on buddybook if anyone’s in neighborhood. Wish everyone good blessings from Above.
