  5. Not yet. I will say I don't really crave them like before it's more or less the ritual at this point so I'm trying to stay busy like weeding and cleaning at the times I usually smoke and it's helped me cut back tremendously. Soon soon I feel it 😁

Beautiful cats! 🥰 The tabby looks like he has cattitude! 😁
  7. Yesterday I had a really big trigger. My favorite NFL team's first preseason game. I got through the game with a little discomfort but it was definitely worth it!. It's good for me to make it through a few preseason games before the regular season starts. I get really amped during games and used to take many smoke breaks. No more of that!!! NOPE! Go Saints!

  10. Sorry to hear you felt like that, a bit scary when you thought you were all ok. I hope you’re next treatment will be better. take care.
  11. Staying busy is a good tactic @shy. We've all been where you are - being tired of the grip smoking had on us but feeling very fearful of quitting, and trying to bargain/reduce our smoking, instead. But the only surefire way to stop smoking is... to actually stop smoking. By weaning yourself down you're basically keeping your brain chemistry in a constantly activated state of withdrawal that's longing for its next fix. Counterintuitively, you may feel way better once you let yourself get through that early withdrawal stage and start to feel free and clean. It feels like a big leap, but the distance may be shorter than you think. And we're all here to catch you and help you along the way. Just let go of the smoking and fall... UP!
  12. So sorry that you hit that fatigue wall @Reciprocity. One step at a time, my friend! You got this.
  13. I think today would be a good day to quit @shy 😉 It's good you don't crave them like before and when you quit you'll have started the process of getting healthy and living life nicotine free! Keep posting on this forum and you'll receive amazing help as and when needed, you won't be going through this alone. 😊
  14. You're doing amazing @JoJo 😊 Some days will hit harder than others just make sure you're always prepared to bat those cravings away!
  15. I hope today goes okay for you @Reciprocity I'm sorry your last treatment wasn't a good experience.
  16. Keeping you in my prayers, Reci! Sorry for the bad experience and hoping it will not re-occur. Thanks for keeping us up to date.
  17. Sorry to hear this, Reci. Take care of yourself. I hope your next treatment goes better.
  18. You are doing great @JoJo Just remember the longer you don't smoke, the more the cravings will go away! You got this!!👍
  19. So sorry you had a bad reaction Reci. Hopefully the next treatment won't be as bad.🙏🤞 Relax as much as you can. We are all here pulling for you!!
  20. JoJo. When the craves hit I always try to think of something that makes me happy it changes my mindset. My first thoughts always go to Bob Marley, Don't Worry Be Happy. 😎 Glad you are doing well and see the future with a sense of reality knowing these crave's will happen. The benefit's of not smoking far outweigh being trapped by that senseless deadly addiction. This is also my "Third Time's A Charm" KTQ Stew.
  21. I guess being bombarded with the radiation therapy is going to have these side effects. I hope things get easier on you as you go and Monday's treatment isn't as exhaustive.
  22. Aww P …Hope you feel better after your session on Monday Take it easy buddy ❤️
  23. Thanks for asking. Today is my 12th day with no smoking or vaping! It's getting easier but of course there are still triggers popping up. I just do a little box breathing and they go away. Last night I went to dinner and a play with some friends. It was so awesome to enjoy every moment without thinking about when I could go smoke!!
  24. AMEN BROTHER!! (He says after having a 2nd session of radiation for lung cancer.)😡 Snuff those nasty things out for good before they do the same to YOU!
  25. Well shit 5 nitro last night after working hard in the heat. I guess too hard? And I guess I don't know how to take it easy when it comes to work. A lifetime of being proud of bustin ass and to slow down is something that doesn't come easy, in fact I don't even know I've taken it too far until it's too late. With the last stents having to use nitro was fairly rare now it's still fairly constant. My cardiologist's comment to this is what 66 year old man with heart disease and 6 stents in place works like you do, turns out she had talked with my daughter. I said my father...🤨 Spending this evening continuing my search for the right bypass surgeon since there is no doubt it's coming. Sorry about the depressive post but needed to ramble. Damn frickin cigarettes! To you new quitters, like myself, stick to your guns and take that crap off the table, do it for keeps before you finally understand what you are doing is what's for keeps!!! KTQ Stew
  26. How ya doing JoJo?
  27. 23 hrs later How’s it going … you free ? 🐸
  28. It's going still no luck on quitting but I will say today I woke up with a new sense of self and I really think today is the day. I'm smoking what I plan to be my last cig as I write this. Thank you for the support!
  29. Aww they look so cute together
  30. You can do this @shy! Toss all your smoking paraphernalia, take stock of your your vulnerability points, and dig deep. Time to be free, friend! Time to kick this addiction’s butt!
  31. This winter we lost our elder cat, Herry, to spinal cancer. We were heartbroken… and still are. So we were going to give outselves time to grieve and wait on adopting another cat. But our younger tabby cat named Oliver started to come unglued. He grew restless, cried constantly and wouldn’t settle. So we took the plunge and rescued another cat, a handsome 2-year-old with striking amber eyes and a silver coat. We named him Sterling. He really loves Oliver, who has calmed down a lot. And now our house has four souls in it again, and our laps are rarely empty.
  32. You certainly can … we will help you along your journey 🐸👍
  33. Your right I do. I'm starting right now. I can do this! Thank you
  34. 35. @Doreensfree thank you for asking. I'm still trying to get that first day in smoke free.
  36. Kittens that young are just BONKERS. Messy doesn’t begin to describe it. Bit that’s why nature made baby mammals so freakin adorable…. You’re a good soul to be doing the foster thing.
  37. Oh yes!! During the heat wave I had them downstairs. My dog in the past was oke with a kitten. But five!?! And I really wondered why on earth people would like to have a kittens. The curtains, plants, couch, you name it. My house was a mess, but they had fun!😀 But they have successors, arrived on the 7th. Today 5 weeks. And Monday a kitten of 10 days arrived. Night shifts....
