talking to yourself generally are the most intelligent conversations you can have. Congrats on making it this far tho. It takes real guts and determination to get past the first week. After that you just have to be a stubborn s.o.b. to get past the next six months. After that you get used to being away from the habit and life starts to return to normal. I know it doesn't sound glamorous because it ain't. it's a slog but you'll be much better off having done it. stay the course.

Welcome, friend. It's safe to say that this site isn't as active as Quitnet was in its heydey; however, you'll still get fantastic support and insights here. Stick around and make this your lifetime quit--we know you can do it. Christian99 Nearing 24 Years Quit

Hey all, I am on day one of many quits. The longest and best success I had was when quitnet existed. We all know how that ended. In my futile attempt to find something similar again, I found this site. I hope it’s as active as the former. I really loved the bonfire there. I tried Ex but just not the same feel for me. Anyway, I plan on just taking a pledge daily and read others successes to stay motivated in addition to writing daily about my “why’s” I want to stay smoke free. And drink lots of 💦 I am truly grateful for this site and hope it is one more tool for me to stay committed to my quit.

  12. Thanks for the encouragement. I don’t feel deprived or that I am missing anything. Not using willpower to quit. Mostly. I think of smoking as a vague memory.
